Tomorrow night I'm going to be performing my first solo dance on Strictly Come Dancing. It's a foxtrot and I've been rehearsing as much as possible to get right, which has been hard seeing as I also have a full time job on The One Show!
I'm really excited that the time has now arrived for me perform. John Sergeant did really well last week and I just hope I can keep up the standard he has set! I just want to get on with it now. Matthew and I have such a laugh together so I'm just going to try and enjoy it... but it has been a week of butterflies. I'd be gutted if go on Saturday, I'll cry!

Wishing you so much luck Christine - you look so elegant in your training I'm sure you'll do well. Don't forget - Len says you must close up the space between you and Matthew in the Foxtrot, so it's tummies together!

Sorry to be a spoil-sport but I am totally fed up with Strictly Come Dancing and have been since the second series.
It is a cheap way for the BBC to set up a series of programmes which they can then cash in with by getting Joe Public to phone in on numbers which the BBC gets a cut of the revenue.
SCD is on for the majority of Saturday nights, gets saturation coverage on Breakfast for 2-3 days per week and now we have to put up with it on the One Show simply because our dear hostess is a competitor.
I am sure that I am not the only one who feels this way. Come on anti SCD bloggers - lets hear from you - that is if the moderators don't put the mockers on anti SCD postings!!

Dear Christine, as a ballroom dancer and professional musician I agree with most of the comments about your performance and have a feeling that if you keep your head you could make it to the final, even win! You look great on camera, make strong lines and your footwork is excellent. Please try to relax and go with flow, you have a great teacher in Matthew. We all know that live television is scarey at the best of times but when you are out of your comfort zone it's terrifyingThe most difficult bit will be the Latin when you partly have to do your own thing and with this you have to lose any inhibitions and just go for it. My partner Annabelle and I are rooting for you so get in there and show 'em.

Dear Christine,
we have watched every series of SCD and I can say without doubt that i have never seen anyone take to it with such obvious enthusiasm, the sheer enjoyment of what you are dancing just ooses from you. Its a real pleasure to watch someone loving it so much and not trying too hard to be perfect and impress the judges or the public.
It wouldnt surprise me if you were sitting on the steps of the rehearsal venue waiting for Matthew to turn up and giving him a hard time if he was a minute late.
Good luck and just keep on the way you are.

Further to my earlier comments last week, I watched you during the group dance on Saturday and was quite impressed with your performance. You can certainly move and the kicks and extentions were very good. Your next dance is a quickstep which I don't think you will have a problem with as you are quite athletic and do quite a lot of running. Remember the idea of dancing on hot coals and you can't go far wrong. As a pro musician I do tend to see a lot of dancers in my job and can usually pick out the good-uns!

I was sure I would be rooting for Rachel and Vincent (still think they are top) but you look like you are having such a great time that you look like a natural. I have been captivated by Christine and i dont think she has anything to be nervous about. She is in good hands with Matthew Cutler. Christine looks a beautiful picture when dancing. I wont say she could be the dark horse as One dark horse presenter went out early last year that was Carol Smiley who i thought was a good dancer. So Christine just take on board all that you are taught, enjoy yourself, and feel the music through the balls of your feet and you will do well. Good luck for next saturday, and light up that show as only you can do.

Hi Christine,
Just to say you may not have been in the Finals of Strictly, but they are totally wrong.
Your smile, dancing, your body and your character deserve to win the show hands down.
Even if you didn't win, PLEASE Remember you'll always be a winner to some of us. I think your the MOST beautiful girl I've ever laid my eyes upon.
