Does The One Show do strange things to you?

The One Show Team | 17:34 UK time, Friday, 12 September 2008

Proud father, Timothy Brooks from Devon kindly sent us this video of his daughter Ruby who love singing along to the One Show theme song.

And Ruby's not the only one...The One Show theme song seems to do the strangest things to babies, children and even pets.

If you know someone or have an animal that gets lost in the moment when they hear our theme tune playing on the TV...we'd love to see your videos.

Just film it, post it one of the many videos websites out there and send us the link.

Whether it's singing, dancing or just plain amusing...we can't wait.

You had the grand opening of your website with a real star to cut the ribbon but no trumpet fanfare, no count down (e.g. 5-1) and no three cheers. It warranted great pomp and ceremony but it felt a little flat. Next time you do something similar, in order to jazz it up and give it the gravitas it deserves, I would be glad to come along as a Town Crier and lend my voice to something worth shouting about. Oyez, Oyez I would!

This is nothing new, my daughter used to be mesmerised by the nightly playing of the Nationwide news programme theme many years ago.
It was the only time we could get her to sit still long enough for her to eat her tea, after she had performed the same ritual dance to the music.
Unfortunately we didnt have a video or even a film camera in those days but we will be forever grateful to the BBC.

Something really weird happens to me at 7pm at the opening credits roll. My tongue falls out of my mouth and dribbles when Christine appears and this is only broken when I laugh at Adrien's funny comments.
Well done The One Show crew, for an entertaining, fast-paced enjoyable 30 min's.
The sound of laughter in the background is welcome relief from the usual staid BBC, and the quirky guy with the end jab/joke at the end credits, makes the show a hoot.
