What did you think of The One Show? Guest: Torvill and Dean

Post categories:

The One Show Team | 11:52 UK time, Wednesday, 24 March 2010

Adrian and Christine were joined on The One Show sofa by Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

Matt Allwright took a look at some of the weird and wacky taxation schemes the authorities have created over the years.

A collection of 70s clothing worth almost £200,000 has recently been discovered in a Glasgow warehouse. Anita Rani found out more.

In Coventry, Simon Boazman met local residents who are taking positive action against potholes.

In the third part of the Time Week series, Gyles Brandreth discovered the story behind the speaking clock in Britain.

Dear One Show bloggers...

Tomorrow, Thursday 25th March, The One Show website will be changing.

As this is the last blog, we'd like to thank you for two years of conversation and lively debate.

Thanks for being part of The One Show community.

Best wishes,

The One Show interactive team

Ooo Torvill and Dean! They used to come under similar scrutiny and Adrian and Christine! I have to say it's nice being allowd to comment again... for the last few weeks the site has not had a box for me to write in, even though I was logged in! And speaking clocks, I have never used one but it sounds very interesting! Speaking of tax and pot holes, it would be nice if my tax money was spent on filling in the holes instead of paying for pointless road signs and speed traps.

Tomorrow TOSblog meets its demise at the hands of the producer.
I expect the criticism of TOS became too much for some to bear. Even though the criticism was in the main constructive.

It is also a shame because TOSblog was a source of pleasure to many. We made friends, enemies, friendly enemies and finally friends of enemies but never enemies of friends. I shall miss it.

I hope that some of the erstwhile TOSbloggers will find their way to our site at the link below. Here you can talk freely. You will certainly be welcome. We could even collaborate on sending helpful e-mails and interesting pictures to TOS as the mood and our wit takes us.

Who do you think that 'someone' might be then, Anthony?

If Adrian and/or Christine believe they ever came under the scrutiny that Torvill & Dean did, then I'll believe that they have truly lost the plot.
