The One Show Team | 12:08 UK time, Tuesday, 22 December 2009

Adrian and Christine were joined by Dave Gorman.

Every year Christmas is criticised for being overly commercial. However, as Gyles Brandreth told us, it's not just a modern moan.

Pete Waterman returned to his home town of Coventry to reminisce about the first single he ever bought - The Deadwood Stage by Doris Day.

Mitch Benn examined New Year resolutions and whether they will make us any happier.

In the first part of Dame Academy, Christopher Biggins challenged Mike Dilger and Des Coleman to become pantomime dames.

And thank you to all those who submitted their Christmas recipes, winter photos and cracker jokes for The One Show Christmas Advent calendar...
