No Cut episodes for three weeks

Post categories:

Vicki Vicki | 17:12 UK time, Friday, 11 June 2010

Yep, it's that time of year again. Strawberries, cream, sweaty headbands and Sean Connery impressions.* Uh huh. It's Wimbledon! The tennis matches are taking over our tellyboxes until 3rd of July, meaning there'll be no episodes of The Cut on TV or online for three weeks.

Obviously I feel your pain, but there's no need to cause a RACQUET (ahem), cos on the plus side we get to see people in shorts making inappropriate grunting noises every Saturday... oh wait, that's not the plus side I was meant to write. The plus side is THIS:

I am going to be working extra hard to bring you the best possible backstage gossip and content every single day at 5:10pm.

That's right, there'll be backstage videos, blogs from the actors and exclusive never-seen-before photos. Plus, if you're lucky, a word or two on Series 3...

Stick with me Cutlets, cos it's going to be an amazing summer.

OAO,

Vicki x

* Q: What time does the well known Scottish actor Sean Connery go to Wimbledon? A: Hmmm, about Ten-ish.

(Tennish... Tennis... geddit?)

Noooo! We'll have to have extra special updates from you ;)

Okay, couple of questions I've been meaning to ask for a while, and this seems as good a time as any:
    Ahem.
1.) Why is The Cut being broadcast at such a ridiculous time on a Saturday? Not many people actually watch TV at that time. Is it just because we're on BBC Switch? Other Switch programmes, such as Off the Hook, have broadcast at more sensible times. Not many of my friends actually know about it. If it's vital that it's shown at this time, surely there could be more trailers and promotional material around?
2.) Why does The Cut not get released on DVD? I know I was moaning about this at the end of last series, but it seems a bit odd, considering that most other BBC dramas are released. If it's just because it's not popular enough, the BBC should pay attention to my previous point!

    Thanks for your attention. (Phew!)

    Hi George,
Yeah, sometimes we get frustrated by the lack of people that get to hear of The Cut too, but that's why people like you on the blog are so important to us :) And you never know, maybe one day we'll get a DVD release!
MusicGirl - still tune in at 5:10pm, I promise there'll be loads of ace stuff to give you a little break from your exams x

How am I going to get through my last few exams?? I agree with George, The Cut should be on DVD. Maybe if enough people want it,we could make it happen?
