We've now had our first week of programmes from the festival and I wondered what you thought about the first two shows. Are we getting the mix right? Did you enjoy the pieces on Tracey Emin and Steven Berkoff? Were Tim Minchin and Simon Callow interesting guests? What did you think of the performances from Nouvelle Vague and The Tiger Lillies? Let us know.

I watched the show last night and thought it was fine. Minchin and Callow were good guests but I personally could do without Tracy Emin (especially when the interviewer is Miranda Sawyer - it's a love-in from Hell).

Loved Arthur's Seat even though Alex James seems a waste of guest. There's a million interesting people in Edinburgh right now so why pick the bloke who's on every other show in the UK?

And as enjoyable as the Tim Samuels piece was, you may as well have run last year's show as the 'look at the crazy freaks' article seems to be a Fringe show staple, and not really representative of the actual Fringe.

Mix was perfect ! In the time slots you have your coverage is for me what the Fringe is all about - comedy, theatre (Who better than Callow), dance, art, books, childrens shows, musicals, the list goes on. But the most important aspect is that it doesn't matter whether you like the guests or not, the Fringe is all about expanding your cultural outlook. Love 'Em or Hate 'Em, Famous or Never heard Of 'Em, Enthralled or Bored To Tears - you can do no wrong with your coverage. I think it would be great however, for you to have a slot covering some of the lesser knowns, or school/college drama groups to give them some encouragement for the future. As much as I love the comedy to bits at Edinburgh, we need to ensure we do not lose sight of the heartbeat of the Fringe which are those "truly" Fringe Fringe shows. Great Show guys, long may the Culture Show continue.
