    Comment number 1.

Kathy: Another day, another damn fool idea..... Weeeeellll .....

    Inconsistencies galore

"Nine holes spread across 20 acres, the course was part of Grey Gables until 2006 when it was sold to Borchester Land, along with the country park. Leigh Barham, the Director of Golf, is highly regarded as a charming man.The other staff include Susan Meyers and Kathy Perks who became Clubhouse Catering Manager in April 2008 and finds the job far more hectic than she expected."

"In the local tourist guides it's listed as a challenging nine-hole course within a beautiful parkland setting. Originally, part of Grey Gables, it was sold to land-and-property company Borchester Land in 2006, along with the country park. Under its director of golf, Leigh Barham, the club has grown in popularity in recent years. Clubhouse catering manager Kathy Perks, who took over in 2008, has greatly extended the restaurant menu making it a notable lunch venue."
    Who's Who 2011 (G Harvey)

    "Grey Gables
The Proprietor, Mr Woolley, recommended at length, the Health Club (gym, pool, sauna, etc), 18 hole golf course, conference facilities and ...'

When did the other 9 holes sink into mineshafts?

We were told that Lee (apparently Leigh) was Kathy's boss when she took the job, and he was running the place according to the Who's Who in Ambridge series of books: but then there is (also?) a golf pro called Lee (Leigh?) who gave Jamie a job picking up balls one summer.

And TOBY was the chap employed to look after Cranford Crystal, the Shire Horse at Lower Loxley. Yet He suddenly swopped jobs, stayed a few minutes and then left, donating piles of rubbish to the Bad Cause?

Yes, Rosie's absolutely right about this. All the inconsistencies make this storyline a complete mess.

    Hear, hear!

Unfortunately such carelessness (in the literal sense of "not caring") has become all too common. Inconsistency is about the most consistent feature of TA. Have the writers forgotten about Camilla Fisher?

Is she locked in a cellar somewhere with Ruairí?
