On her recent trip to Borchester, when she wasn't locating lost children Clarrie Grundy (Rosalind Adams, pictured) was buying birthday presents for father-in-law Joe and sister Rosie Mabbott.

Although Rosie has never spoken in the programme, we hear about her from time to time. You can discover what we know about her in her Who's Who's entry.

Agree with Nemo399. Also, Rosalind Adams looks like an intelligent, educated woman with whom one could have an interesting conversation about something other than meat puddings and grandchildren.

Two thoughts: a) I'm afraid Rosalind Adams doesn't look anything like Clarrie Grundy (alt least, not my Clarrie, who's very overweight, with a big, moon-like face and an expression on it like a worried plum pudding), although she might just pass muster as Tracy from Waggoners Walk in later life

    b) Is this reference to Rosie an omen that she's about to become a non-silent? Will listeners have to hear yet another new character? If so, please give Rosie a very sharp tongue and let her harangue Helen so violently that she leaves the village forever, taking little Henry with her.
