    Rainlawrence, Sorry you were not in on BBC's planning process, but the bus is nice and I am glad they have come. Do you just disapprove of the cost, not like us Yanks, or both? We really are good folks. Scouts honor, we'll put the firearms away.;-)

    To answer the question about cost, each BBC journalist on the bus is funded by the department which sent them. I'm funded by the BBC News website. A journalist from the World Service would be funded by the World Service. And so on.

    The US election is one of the major news stories of the year and I think most of our audience would agree it's right that the BBC covers it. And organising the bus is more cost-effective than each of us hiring cars.
