I think these are the feelings of most US citizens: leave a legacy and help NOT just the rich, but the everday citizen.

To Jon Kelly,
If you have noted that the posts have been slowing down, I think that is because of people's preoccupation with the economy.
Many are worried and confused about what can be the best solution. Our leaders seem to be more interested in politics and their careers than in doing whatever is best for our country. Wall street seems to want our money to fix their mess. Many feel that the very wealthy will not be hurt by any of this, only the average American will get to pay the bill.
Bush is impotent and can not lead his party. McCain appears clueless and seeking only for advantage in this election. Obama is trying to stay above the politics and does not want to be seen as 'presumptive' before he is actually elected.
There is a lot of conflicting information in the media. This is a very very difficult time for the American people.
I will speak for myself, but probably many others, your blog has been a great opportunity for all of us to enjoy our country in a new way. It has even given us some 'time outs' from our politics and our daily problems. Thank you
