Sleeping Beauty

It’s not long now until we return home to the Strictly Ballroom after our weekend break in Blackpool, where our couples lit up the Golden Mile with a dazzling display of incredible dances and some mesmerizing moves.

The magic of the Tower Ballroom rubbed off on three couples with Natalie and Artem, Susanna and Kevin and Abbey and Aljaz all receiving three 10’s from the Judges for their show stopping performances. Ultimately, it was Team Nartem and Team Kevanna that tied at the top of the Blackpool Leaderboard with 39 points each, but who will be in that much coveted position this weekend?

Take a look below to see which dances our remaining eight couples will be performing this Saturday night and let us know who you think stands a good chance!

Ashley and Ola will be waltzing to ‘I Will Always Love You’ by Claudia Streza

Patrick and Anya will be dancing the Viennese Waltz to Celine Dion’s ‘A New Day Has Come’

Abbey and Aljaz will be performing the Paso Doble to ‘You Got The Love’ by Florence and the Machine

Sophie and Brendan will dance the Rumba to Amy Winehouse’s version of ‘Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow’

Mark and Iveta will Foxtrot to the Michael Buble favourite ‘It’s A Beautiful Day’

Susanna and Kevin will be Cha Cha-ing to the classic ‘Hound Dog’ from Smokey Joe’s Café

Ben and Kristina will dance the Charleston to ‘No Diggity’ by Minimatic

Natalie and Artem will Tango to Rihanna’s hit ‘Where Have You Been’

Would the sad individual who is purposely coming onto the A Team blog and downgrading all our supportive posts, please refrain, all you are doing is inciting us to be more supportive, so the opposite to what you hope to achieve.

The team blogs are their for our support, we do not come onto any other team blogs and down grade comments.

Many apologies Strictly Jonnie for coming on here to write this but it is becoming rather tiresome for us.

Song choices are excellent for all the teams and we on A Team wish everyone else all good wishes and good luck with their dances on Saturday.

The celebrity dancers and the pro dancers all get on and obviously wish each other well, we should take their lead on this forum.

I've just listened to Susanna and Kevin's music, it seems a slower version than Elvis' more well-known version, but I'm sure they will interpret it very well, as they always do. They are the ones to beat now.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Sophie dance a Rumba. She really needs to let go of her inhibitions here. We know she's a great dancer but has been a little withdrawn in the more sensual dances. She won't be able to get away with that in a Rumba, so let it all go Sophie, this dance is going to either make you or break you. I have a feeling it's going to be sensational though.

I foresee huge problems for Abby doing a Paso. After last week's amazing highlight from Susanna, she has a lot to live up to, but I just don't think this dance is going to suit her. As for Ben doing a Charleston, well, you really have to fear for him this week, this could be curtains, I couldn't think of a worse dance for him. But I think his time is up now anyway, we'll be getting down to the business end of the competition soon and Ben really isn't good enough to compete with the better dancers, so I can see him losing the dance-off to Abby.

@Golfingwidow... I feel for you. People were doing exactly the same thing to us on the Ann and Anton blog a few years ago. It's not pleasant and some of it was downright obnoxious and personally hurtful! Just keep your spirits up and enjoy Strictly your way - they are the ones with the problem, not you!

    Keeeeeep dancing!

Interesting to see not one couple left are doing the same dance as another. They are all doing different ones.

Looking forward to seeing how Mark does doing "It's A Beautiful Day" by Michael Buble. It has such a quick tempo can he summon the physical stamina? Odds are not in his favour as far as I can tell. The lowest score is 27. That is his minimum benchmark to achieve. Though his lowest is 22 so he can achieve 27. But the speed at which the fuel in his tank is used will for me greatly influence his performance. The more energy he has to use the more tired he could become. That is my fear.
