Sid Owen became the third celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing. After a terrifying grilling from the Judges during our Halloween-week, Sid was a haunted man, after finding himself bottom of the leader board and pitted against fellow actor Colin Salmon in the Dance Off.

Dancing again, Sid's Ghostbusters routine failed to impress, and in the end when the question was 'Who You Gonna Call? 'Colin' was the refrain of the Judges as Craig, Darcey and Bruno chose to save the Bond actor.

Praising his partner Ola Jordan, Sid said “I have loved every minute of it, thanks to Ola, she is a hard taskmaster but she has been great and we have had so much fun. And now I can even feel comfortable going out and maybe having a little dance.”

Find out how Sid's Strictly pals felt about his departure in our exclusive clip...

Some familiar faces tell us how they're feeling about Sid and Ola's depature this week.

Must agree about the VT's, i much preferred to watch actual training footage or even the montages being put together for ITT.

Bruce was the only choice for this job when the programme started, his skills has a compare were beyond the reach of most other performers. Unfortunately, he now seems to struggle with the autocue and seems a little lost.
Perhaps now is the time to step down.
Anton seems the most popular choice, and should definitely give it a go. Tess is Ok but seems to shout all the time and Claudia is wonderful on the "sofachats" but looks unsure on the dancefloor.
I can not EVER defend Bruses jokes, they have always been bad.

I was with Len on the Dance Off. To me it seemed Sid and Ola were up against the Christina Show. Poor Colin hardly got a LOOk in

I don't mean to be negative about Bruce - He just succeeds in making the show into a bad comedy show and the pruducers don't help by adding the awful vt's the show is running out of time week after week - we have to rush past the judges comments sometimes leaving some judges out all together when this is what everyone wants to hear as it's the most important part of the show! Even through this part Bruce continues to do bits of 'business' The worst thing is when Bruce tells one of his embarrasing jokes and then if he feels he doesn't get a bigger enough laugh on punch line he will often get annoyed tell the joke all over again to punish us! We would all prefer to see the rehearsal footage after all there are endless programmes we can watch if we want to see bad sketches acted out. There is a simple way around this - why don't the producers cut all the vt footage for a couple of weeks andswop it for more rehearsal footage and watch the viewing figures rise! When Bruce does decide to move on think it would be great for one of the past male celebs or one of the professional dancers to join Tess to present the show. Ian would be a first rate choice I feel.

I am terribly sorry to disagree with the comments about Bruce, but I do think that this show is strong enough to continue without him. After all, what do shows in other countries do? He doesn't host all of these, as far as I know. Actually, sad to say, over the years he has become one of the weak links, irritating many by his weak jokes which seem to take up valuable judging time. It's a toss up as to which is the most irritating - those ridiculous VT's or Bruce wittering on. WHY CAN'T WE JUST WATCH TRAINING FOOTAGE! How many times will people have to ask for this before someone influential gets the message?

Just two more quickies. 1. Nothing so far in the series has warranted an 8 yet never mind the 9's that are now flying about. Please judges be a bit more realistic. 2. To the Brucie bashers. When Bruce goes the show wont last more than one or two more series. Every Saturday night show Bruce has hosted over many decades has been continued after he has left and every one has withered almost immediately. I know he cant go on for ever but cherish Bruce the icon if you want the show to survive.

Sid was the right one to go as he was the worst dancer on the night, just a bit unlucky. I thought Colin was too good for the dance off so i am glad he gets another chance. It might be better for him if he was given more to do in the routine. Christina tends to cavort around him, sometimes making him look a bit redundant. A warning though ! I am not a fan of the dance off but a potential disaster was averted when Colin went three up in the judges vote. Had it been two,one Len would have saved Sid and put Colin out ! Couldnt believe it. However i am certain at least one dance off disaster will happen before the end of the series. Its a cert.

I cannot understand how Darcy can give the same score for Denise as Colin. Is she watching the dancers or on another planet. Someone please tell her how to score correctly.

At one time the BBC DID have the results on a Saturday and it was NOT popular. So they returned to showing the results on Sundays when the younger audience can watch. The show is not just for all the grumpy adults who post on blogs. If you don't want to watch the Sunday show, the results are easy enough to find beforehand.

Right result, but it would be better for Len not to have the extra vote in a tie. It should go back to the voter choice of the two in that situation.

Let´s see better music. I love that excerpt from Carmina Burana but it is not a pasa doble, even though Erin and Richard did a great dance to it. Many of the dances are not done to music with the correct rhythms. Shame.

I agree.. stop the pretence of Saturday. Sunday. It was time for Sid to go - only having 2 hours with Ola did not help but Sid just does not have it. Colin was far superior, even tho Len did nto like his big mistake. And James, I would let my wife be seen on TV or in public with that skimpy outfit. And BBC you went far too far over the top on the Halloween theme. It is a dancing competition not a children´s panto. Also Claudia where did you get that outfit ?-- it looked like half of the leftovers of one of Tess`costumes last week. Again I like Darcey as a judge - she doesn't just criticise but gives advice and tips. Bruno did as well this week.
