With the Grand Final a mere two weeks away, sadly Ashely Taylor Dawson became the tenth celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing.

In a week that saw he and his partner Ola Jordan face the Dance Off for the second time, the curtain came down on actor Ashley. With the Judges favouring remaining male contestant Patrick Robinson, after both performed again for a place in next week’s Semi-Final.

Speaking to Tess, Ashley praised his time on the show and partner Ola: “It’s just been absolutely amazing, from meeting the crews to make-up and costumes, to judges to all the contestants. I’ve had a fantastic time and of course this lovely lady standing here, it’s been an absolute delight. And my amazing fiancé for doing such an incredible job while I’ve not been there. I’m coming home!”

We were first on the floor for this exclusive reaction from Ashley, Ola and their fellow couples saying a fond farewell...

Our remaining couples say a fond farewell to Ashley Taylor Dawson

I agree with JayKay. Natalie who had full marks (4 x10) in the dance off. It should have been Susannah and Patrick in the dance off then Patrick would have gone through and we would have been shot of Susannah. If Susannah wins the final I hope they change the title next year to
"Strictly Personality Contest" as it is NOT a dance competition any more.
Give the public a chance instead of all these celebrities also get some new judges the four now only have their favourites.
This is the worse year for strictly it has been a farce from the beginning .

Why on earth was Natalie in the Dance Off last night!! A better dancer by far than Susannah and yet it was Natalie that ended up with all the pressure at the end of the show - ridiculous! Well done Natalie for holding it together - lets hope the Final produces the RIGHT result! If not then I wont be able to take this programme very seriously in the future.

well said CKMaxx and lady Jane ! I am not going to watch strictly anymore! I think the BBC need
to wise up and stop treating the public as if they are stupid. Every one I have spoken to, says the
same ' Why is Susanna still in it ! ' It is a joke !

PLEASE British voters this is a DANCING competition do not forget this Saturday. It will be a travesty and a diSAAAAASter if Natalie does not win this competition. The ONLY natural DANCER and she has been a consistent performer. This is NOT a popularity contest. Patrick, Sophie are Okay. Susanna NOT a chance.

Hazel I could not agree more with your comments! I do think the contestants have gone as far as they can really, especially Susanna bless her! She is NOT a dancer- and quite frankly neither are the others. Abbey is okay so is Sophie. Having said that, these two girls have improved a great deal throughout the competition together with Patrick. The show stopper is Natalie. I really hope Artem's choreography does not let Natalie down. Natalie all the way to WIN!!

Yes, the Argentine Tango used not to be danced until the semi finals, but then that was changed. Also this year was the first time that Brendan has ever done the Charleston with a celebrity and Anton has never yet done the Argentine Tango with a celebrity; I suppose there has to be a balance of ballroom/Latin dances in each show.

@331 Thanks Merlin. I had realised that the other day after appreciating it was too easy to take what seemed like the most obvious result. When I've had a moment I've been trying to work through most of those other combinations - what I'm finding the most interesting is the likely position of the others. I'll try and post most of it a bit later on.

@339 & 348 FOSO (and others) - Keep it up! "Homo Trolliensis" wonderful expression, I love it. Yes a stand needs to be taken against these unnecessarily vitriolic and often libellous comments, many of which are based on incorrect information (that's putting it politely). You may have noticed that I've tried on occasion to present the correct facts to a few posters in previous weeks blogs.

@360 dancingstevieb - I've said my peace in that different people will enjoy the show and vote for different reasons. The only fundamental difference I can see is you don't think the show is a dancing competition, the Celebrities & Professionals think it is and the BBC says it is. There are no hard feelings.
Where I will take a stand, is along similar lines to FOSO.

FOSO: Thanks for your understanding. I agree with you: we shouldn't just post nasty stuff just for the sake of it. As I said earlier I fell in the trap and I regret it. So no more of this. Bring on the semi final and good luck to all the dancers pro and non pro who give us great entertainment on Saturday night :o)

Just home from work and back on today. Nice to see encouraging comments and some funny tongue in cheek pieces too. Roll on Saturday, although I have an early Christmas party so won't get chance to see the show live. Here's hoping that all couples have a great weekend. We should be in for a treat. Cheers everyone.
