The first time Natasha & Brendan danced the Paso Doble was the most spine tingling dance that I have ever seen in all the years Strictly has been running. It was still good in the final which they won and goes down with me as the best dance ever.

We were spoiled ,we had Blackpool for two years running and we had wembley last year.,so I understand that the BBC had other areas to spread resources into like the Queen Jubliee and London 12 .

it's not to say the show won't return in the future. - This is a good sign that Strictly are going to have a series 11 and hopefully be back in Blackpool.

Bring on Strictly 2012 first. I need my Strictly fix.

I've written a traditional jazz type song that might be appropriate for your show.Would you be interested in hearing it ?

    Thanks, Robin Grimmond

Thanks all for your comments, with regards to Blackpool, the decision was made to spread resource into other areas this year. Although the team are sad not to be going, Strictly has always enjoyed a very special relationship with Blackpool and it's ballroom heritage and it's not to say the show won't return in the future.

There are now two shows now available on the BBC ticket site. Best of luck if you apply! http://www.bbc.co.uk/showsandtours/tickets/

We'll also be rolling out our newsletter sign-up very soon.

I wasn't far wrong with the dates of Strictly starting.

they will record one special show at the new BBC studios at Salford Quays - they have a perfect studio there- It wouldn't be the same as Blackpool. The only thing I have to say is bring Strictly on.- I'm getting excited about it

If you haven't seen already, there is the opportunity to apply for tickets for the Red Carpet Launch (11th September) and the Premiere Strictly show (12th September). these will be shown on tv on September 15th. Applications close on 19th August. Tickets for the whole series are not yet available. I have heard that the series begins fully on around October 5/6th. As Blackpool is not now featuring, I wonder if they will record one special show at the new BBC studios at Salford Quays - they have a perfect studio there (I went on a tour!), and it would give those of us living in the North West a chance of an easier trip to the show (if we are lucky enough to get tickets).

Hopefully, we have the launch show which is on around the 14th of September and then Strictly will probably start around two weeks after that. I think this year especially , Strictly should go to Blackpool as Strictly is the big 10. And for Series 10 they should bring all the winners of all the series to do a dance.

As we now know, X-Factor (more's the pity) begins shortly & Strictly is usually only 2 weeks or so behind it. Can we not be told what date we can look forward to. Secrets are all very well but looking forward to something is better..

Yes, I would like to know when the first episode is, and when can we apply for tickets to be part of the audience?
