Having captained the England cricket team to victory over the Australians during the 2005 Ashes, how would Michael Vaughan cope with his new Strictly dance partner and fully fledged Aussie, Natalie Lowe? The unlikely pair met for their first training session together and right away, they were winding each other up over their national rivalry.

But who really wears the trousers in this partnership? Check out the video below and let us know what you think of the Aussie/English combo!...

Michael and Natalie meet for their first training session

Michael's ready for a ribbing if he reveals his chest on Strictly.

I totally agree, Bruce did seem to be adding unnecessary extra comments which lead to us having to miss judges comments out because of the program running late, there are 4 judges so why does Brucie need to give his opinion to the dancers about their performances? Sorry Sir Brucie but I'd rather hear the judges comments please!

If the programme is running late, please do NOT leave out the Judges' comments. By all means leave out the "jokes" from Mr Forsythe. Darcey Bussell is great! She is a terrific asset to the show.

Michael doesn't appear to be in the greatest possible shape so will depend on how hard he's prepared to work. Natalie already is concerned about Michael's feet so presume she will be concentrating on these quite a bit. They look great together physically and hopefully Natalie can really inspire him on the night otherwise CRH could definitely have plenty to say for himself!

I will be interested to see how this pair get on. it is very hard to tell in a few seconds how good they are going to be. Over the years i have seen a few sportsmen start the series looking very stiff and nervous and manage to overcome all Matt Dawson is a great example of this.

At the end of the day what matter is the weekend and how good they perform. Natalie has been brillant with her past celebs. No doubt Craig will be sharpening the pencil for any Disasters over the weekend

    Good Luck Team Michalie

I don't think it is fair to make such a direct comparison to Mark and Darren. Yes they both began their 1st dance poorly in that Mark scored 27 for the Cha-Cha-Cha and Darren scored only 19 for the Cha-Cha-Cha, but they were in way better physical condition than Michael is. A better ex-cricketer to compare him to is the only other one who of course is Phil (Tuffnell).

Ahh bless him!! You can tell that Michael is a raw beginner and I'm sure Natalie will be whipping him into shape over the next few weeks!! Cricketers have always done well on Strictly (Darren Gough & Mark Ramprakash) so you can't really tell at this early stage how Michael is going to do, as both Darren and Mark were not great on show 1 but both went on to win it, so I'm going to wait and see how Michael progresses before I pass judgement!! I do agree with the previous posts though regarding Craig!! The claws will definitely be coming out on Fri/Sat I'm sure!! Not long until we find out!!!! Good luck Michael and Natalie!!

They seem to be having a good time in training at least, but yes, if he can't even keep his balance it might be a field day for CRH :) Go Michalie - you can do this! :)

I can see CRH sharpening the pencil already, but he's having a laugh which is the main thing.
