Richard Arnold has become the sixth contestant to leave Strictly Come Dancing. After a valiant performance, the judges were left not wanting more as Craig said: “it littered with timing issues sadly and it was very stompy, flat-footed.” Richard was called to the dancefloor and had to face Nicky Byrne in the dance-off.

After the judges unanimously voted to keep Nicky in the competition, an upbeat Richard reflected on his time and said...

“I've loved it. Do you know what is amazing about this experience is that this party is happening in millions of homes around the country. The one thing I'll take from it is that now when I walk down the street people no longer cross the road to avoid me! Now they smile, they want to chat. It's been amazing. You guys here have been amazing.”

Catch up on this weekend's action in just 60 seconds.

    @Acebiker21

The reason why quite a few of your posts has been removed or not even shown is because they are :

Obscene, obnoxious, rude & extremely verbally abusive towards Miss Riley

As a very learned poster on here (armchairdancer) has said :
"Acebiker21, please get back in your saddle & peddle off somewhere" 🚲 👉

But if you must "keep trying" to post abuse aimed at Miss Riley, you really do not need to :
SHOUT AT US WITH THOSE "CAPS"

Vivien - The couples who are saved are read out in no particular order. I know Kimberley was upset previously, but surely she'll be better prepared for the occasion should it happen again - Richard survived two dance-offs before he left - that shows a lot of resilience.

    Thank you,

kevin jenings - I don't think it's that important, althought it is up to you. If you look at some of the other handles you'll see that a lot of people use nicknames.

    Thanks,

For that once a series occasion I do think it is no bad thing. It can only help the ratings figures. A total of 11.38 million people tuned in. More than any show this series. The previous best being 10.97 million for Week 4. And it was 1st in the BBC Rankings and for all UK TV. So the most watched show not only on the BBC but for all UK TV.

@Kay Coote (no 27) the reason they put dancers in front of those people is because they are so dull otherwise! i agree, dione was fantastic in her day but she has lost that voice and if it were not for the dancers i would have gone and done something else while she was on. Andre Bocelli is an OK opera singer, but his voice is average and, being a classical musician (violinist), i have heard much better. the reason the choreography is a bit strange is because the have to choreograph it to the music which is going on, an usually those pieces are not dance music so they are hard to dance to. if they had had adele singing skyfall or something i that would be different, or i would love for them(not gonna happen) to have Vengerov!

Sorry SCDFanatic if you think Saturday was what Strictly is about you definately need to tune into another show. As far as Tess having the best legs in show biz. Do me a favour, they are like two broken straws ! She is also far too old for a get up like that. She needs to stick to grown up elegance not teenage trendy.

I am afraid terrier I am one who is very much pro-Wembley. It turned a prime time Saturday night show in that teeny small studio in BBC Television Centre into an extravaganza filled with wondrous pyrotechnics, impressive props, celebrities....gosh everything. It must have been truly overwhelming and exhilarating being in that cauldron of fervent support and I am envious as heck of everyone who went and made the mood what it was.

You say raucous, I say certifiably insane! And it was brilliant! Well done to everyone who produced the show.

And no terrier, Tess did not forget the put her trousers on. Ha-ha-ha. It is a damn shame that with legs like that she doesn't show em' of more and I would have been very miffed if she had hid them. She does have the nicest legs for me in show biz.

Thought after last year's fiasco at Wembley that they would not go there again. Another big mistake! At times the figures were so small it was difficult to see them. The large audience was far too raucous. At lot of the time it was difficult to hear what was being said. Come on BBC, Wembley is far too big for this competition. Please stick to the studio or Blackpool.
Had Tess forgotten to put her trousers on on Sunday?

I shall miss Richard and Erin. Richard brought a touch of comedy to the show. He wasn't a particularly good dancer, but he was entertaining in other ways *b*u*t* I recognise it is about the dancing, so he needed to go. Well done to him for all his training efforts - he is a perky chap considering he starts work at 5am each weekday!

I too think Louis is being singled out unfairly, and the comments directed towards him by the judges leave an unpleasant feeling hanging in the air. I have seen all I need to see of Victoria and Nicky and hope that one of them goes next.

It was Richard's time to go, just as it was Fern's time last week. The rest of the series looks mouth-watering with the contestants still left in. The end of Lisa's routine (where she leapt in the air and landed in a splits position) made me cringe, as I cannot do the splits and I am thin so that landing would be extremely painful for me!
