Was a fan of Louis from the start, his potential as a dancer was always there to see but the culmination of his hard work and desire to improve was revealed in the final and of the three brilliant dances, his show dance was something else:
breathtaking, graceful, sensuous, heart breaking, wonderful.
How clever of Flavia too, to showcase his strength and grace like that too.
So glad they won and hope Louis has an equally terrific 2013.

I suspect from current information available on the web, Louis & Flavia had an unassailable lead after the first half. Whilst Denise & James benefited from being first on with their Show Dance when the lines were already open grabbing the finals only voter.

Now the series is over I have a few thoughts on the series as a whole.

Louis & Flavia had this competition in the bag from the first show. The first show also firmly cemented Lisa & Robin as popular with the weekly voters.

The return of the dance off made the series very processional with only one real shock with Kimberly being in the dance off from joint second place. I suspect not last on combined score so would have been safe even without the judges saving her.

It did sometimes feel like Nicky & Karen were deliberately handicapped by dance choices and/or music. Perhaps trying to prevent a repeat of last year with Harry winning from day one by not favouring the boy band member. Also seemed very hard on a new professional to not be able to get back up from her fellow dancers.

Dave Arch needs to scout for a part time singer who can cope with Queen songs as these seem to appear every year.

Please can the judges comments match their scores. There were occasions where critical comments were made yet still high scores. Or similarly praise or good comments getting a relatively low score. Constructive comments may sometimes need repeating if performances do not improve.

I would like to see the end of the Show Dance and have Fusion in its place. This was the best week of the series for me and shows the inventiveness of the professionals well. However, this should not be a forced combination of dances and should have a free choice of music.

Please encourage Bruce to retire. His deterioration is obvious this year & I would not like to see his reputation tarnished any further. Series 10 would be a good point at which to call it a day. I would hope he is replaced by someone relatively unknown if at all. Tess & Claudia worked well the week Bruce was off but I am not sure how well they would work on a permanent basis. Whatever happens the show is big enough and strong enough to stand on merit & does not need a big name presenter.

Avoid popular Boy band members for future shows as they are guaranteed to win.

    Happy New Year everyone and see you in September 2013! ♪ ♫ ♩ ♬ ♪ ♫ ♩ ♬

According to an article in the Daily Star Denise had 4% more of the vote than Kimberley in the final. I always suspected Kimberley came third. I wasn't a fan of Denise but she performed better than Kimberley in the final. I thought the reason they didn't reveal the 2nd and 3rd place was because they had plans for Kimberley (presenting Children in Need etc.) and they didn't want people to know she came 3rd.
