I am so put off the dancer's performances by the totally unwanted commentary of Karen Hardy and partner in a little box on my screen. They ruin the atmosphere of the dance by not allowing us to fully appreciate the wonderful music provided by Ray Arch and his singers, who are always such a delight. The little box is in the way of a complete view of the dancers and their steps and lines, plus I want to be allowed to make my own judgement on the performances of the dancers. That is half the fun - to see if our comments at home coincide with the judges. Karen Hardy is ruining that and making our own judgements feel superfluous. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get rid of the Karen Hardy comments whilst the competitors are actually dancing. It is so distracting I don't actually want to watch it this way. It makes me feel I would rather switch it off and turn on again just for the judges opinions!!! Please get rid off this horrible distraction. Comments afterwards, fine... but NOT whilst the dance is in progress PLEASE!
Surely I can't be the only one feeling this way??

I think James and Denice are looking good. I agree with the previous comments about James' choreography, he does have a knack for coming up with dance routines that play to his partners strengths and Pamela Stephenson was a perfect example of this. I have to admit I wasn't a fan of James' in the first few years, but over the last couple of seasons I have really warmed to him. I hope he doesn't start to bow down to the judges (and CRH in particular) as when he does challenge them he is usually right.

I guessed that Denise would be partnered with James before the launch show and my hunch was obviously right!! I think these two are well suited and I expect them to go far in the competition as Denise is a performer so she'll have a good idea of how to 'sell' each routine she performs, particularly with James's choreography which I always think he pitches just right for the celebrity he's dancing with!! (watch his routines with Pamela Stephenson and you'll see what I mean, as they were pitched just perfectly for her!!). Very much looking forward to seeing their Waltz as I think it will look beautiful and they will just glide across the ballroom floor!! Good luck Denise and James!!

I honestly can't tell if they're having the time of their lives or if they're going to be drawing daggers soon!

Yes definitely looks as if James has met his match with Denese, all friendly banter at present and hopefully thats how it will stay! With teaching and choreography there can only be one boss, so will be following these two with great interest. I would be very surprised if Denese and James have any problems during their first few weeks - not much footage shown but their waltz is looking good.
