Semi-final - Pre-show reactions

Post categories:

BBC Strictly James | 13:00 UK time, Friday, 9 December 2011

It's a case of double jeopardy this week as TWO couples will be leaving this year's competition. If that wasn't hard enough, our dancing duos must perform TWICE for a chance to be in next week's final in Blackpool.

As ever, we managed to catch up with some of our 'Famous Five' and filmed an exclusive video, just for you, ahead of tomorrow's big show to find out if their stress levels have gone through the roof...

Everyone is obviously nervous but all seem to be excited and looking forward to the semi finals experience. They must have mixed feelings as everyonel must now have become such firm friends. Good luck and best wishes to all five teams.

Pre-show reactions is an interesting title. Forwards and backwards - did Alesha compose it?

    Hi all,

Just got back from Dublin did all my shopping and got some great presents for the family but that city makes you tired so I'll keep my pre show comments brief.

Standouts for me will have to be by a mile.

    Harry and Aliona
    Chelsee and Pasha
    Holly and Artem

These three couples have got great six great dance styles and six great music choices though I was reading some of the comments on the last blog and some are not quite sold on Artem's choice of music for the Charleston but for me they have got it just right.

In danger this week Jason and Kristina and James and Alex Ballroom dances and music choices work but the Latin dances and music choices don't work and these stand out like a sore migrane and they could prove their undoing.

    So my verdict

    Chelsee and Pasha
    Harry and Aliona
    Holly and Artem

    Going Home

    Jason and Kristina
    James and Alex

That's my views off to bed now and see you all back here tomorrow night for the semis and.

    Keeeeeeeeep Dancing

Good luck to all the semi-finalists. Have all worked hard and it must be devasting to get this far and have to go home - so near to the final - but well done for having got this far and having danced this well. Think everyone in the semis deserves to be there. Enjoy!

    @6 Hi teddyandgypsy

Yes, probably after the soiree with Alan Carr. An evening during which she even managed to make the usually OTT Bruno look tame in comparison.

Oxymoron, Paradox, or perhaps a new term for the OED, Aleshaism.
