Hi. I've enjoyed all your dances so far..... Looking forward to the Tango. Good Luck Team Hali!

  • Comment number 2.

I have also enjoyed all of your performances so far Team Hali. You are doing a great job. This tango should be something great to behold.

  • Comment number 3.

Enjoying your routines so much. Can't wait for the tango.

  • Comment number 4.

Can't wait for this tango - it looks like it will be incredible!!! Go Team Hali!!!!

  • Comment number 5.

I thought you were stunningly good right from the cha cha. I cant believe how your standard is developing at an exponential rate. Congratulations, and well done for all the hard work you are doing. Cant wait to see what you are going to do each week, and I love Aliona's choreography.

  • Comment number 6.

Well done Harry and Aliona. First 10 of the series. Waltz was brilliant and you have been great from the start. Can't wait for the Tango.

  • Comment number 7.

Aliona... are you going to use a McFly song for one of the dances? If so which one?
Harry... would you like to dance to one of your songs?

  • Comment number 8.

Choreography great. Always has been. Good luck for Sat

  • Comment number 9.

You are my favourites and I've loved your routines since week 1. Unfortunately I can't vote from Dublin, but I keep all fingers and toes crossed every single week that you will get enough votes and points to stay in... You are great and obviously the judges like your dancing too, but nothing is secure when the results rely on phone votes since people might think you are safe just because you are on the top half of the Leaderboard...

Other than beautiful and/or fun choreography you both look like you are having FUN when dancing, that's a huge plus for me. Ok to be nervous but to manage to look relaxed anyways is not easy. You manage though!

Looking forward to Saturday already! Best of luck from the Emerald Isle, Team Hali!! :)

  • Comment number 10.

    You look great together!

  • Comment number 11.

well, Aliona's got herself another super talent. Harry is brilliant! All the way to the final please.

  • Comment number 12.

Well done Harry and Aliona on your lovely waltz. So looking forward to your tango on Saturday. Just hope that the judges stop arguing with each other, we live in hope......Good luck for Saturday!

  • Comment number 13.

thanks for the sweet message guys, loved your waltz last week (and your foxtrot and cha cha!!) and cant wait to see your killer tango!!!! Much love to Team Hali - you two are simply the best xx

  • Comment number 14.

You guys defiantly are the best in the competition!! Cheering you all the way to the finish line! Team Hali to win! Good luck on Saturday xxxx

  • Comment number 15.

Hurray, team names. Now we can get going. Loving Harry and warming to Aliona. Congrats on getting the first 10 of the series. Well deserved.

  • Comment number 16.

Do it for McFly Harry! Go team Hali as well or Haliona

  • Comment number 17.

I loved your waltz last week and i am supporting you all the way. Cant wait to watch you this week

  • Comment number 18.

Just wanted to say I've enjoyed your dances so far and look forward to more great performances. While I normally prefer ballroom dances to stay in-hold, I still thought your waltz was beautiful.

  • Comment number 19.

great waltz, your a natural harry, from chris in blackpool

  • Comment number 20.

just seen your training clip, it looks great, and a great choice of music. Cant wait to see you on ITT tonight :)

  • Comment number 21.

I rhink ye are both brilliant and the developing relationship between ye is just great,

  • Comment number 22.

My daughters and I are LOVING TEAM HALI, which is especially nice because as a baby I dedicated "All about you" by McFly to my eldest daughter - it became 'our song'. She also followed Aliona in last years series, so it's great that her 2 favourites are paired together. Lets see you lift the Glitter Ball this year. GOOD LUCK.

  • Comment number 23.

Don't think I will ever forget Aliona's brilliant tango routine from last year so looking forward to seeing if she can top it. Little worried about the music but if any one can pull it off it will be team Hali!

  • Comment number 24.

Lovely to see Harry and Aliona on ITT looking so relaxed and happy. Bodes well for the Tango...

  • Comment number 25.

lovely to see you both looking so relaxed on IT2 tonight, and some great training clips. I will love the theatrical element....and hopefully so will Craig....and it looks like there is lots of technique and content..hopefully that'll please Len. Expecting high scores so no pressure!!!
I make it around 32 hours a week for training, I'm not in the least surprised, all the effort is showing. Best of luck for Saturday. Cant wait.

  • Comment number 26.

More dancing please Aliona. Harry is so good, don't mess around with tricks, just give us the dancing and you could go all the way.

  • Comment number 27.

Psycho killer? vampires? Mr. doom-and-gloom here is having a worst-case scenario vision of watching Eric Northman helping himself to a slice of Sookie on Saturday. Since I want you two in a final with Chelsee allow me to ask you to watch yourselves, before the watershed. NO fake blood - if you need it, stylise it - a puff of glitterdust or unroll a red cloth? After the fuss with Flavia's 'bondage' tango, last season, you probably don't want to put the damsel in distress, either. Either have Ali offing Harry or make sure you both fall down together.

Hopefully, by now, I am just teaching granny how to suck eggs, Ali, but better safe than sorry, eh?

  • Comment number 28.

Change of name to reflect change of allegiance for this year's comp ( being on team Mattiona last year) Good to see Aliona being a little more diplomatic on ITT. Let the dancing speak for itself and let someone else wind up Len. Tango training looks verrrrry good.

  • Comment number 29.

Your Tango training looks very good, less props more dancing, we want you to reach the finals....Go Team Hali GO and of course Good Luck!

  • Comment number 30.

Loved your dances so far, looking forward to your tango. Good luck Team Hali!

  • Comment number 31.

Should be a great dance again tomorrow. I am hoping there won't be any 'messing about' to upset Len. Which week is he not judging? Lots of 'messing about' that week!!! Good luck to all the teams tomorrow but especially Harry and Aliona and Chelsee and Pasha who are FAB!

  • Comment number 32.

Last year Team Mattiona were the one to beat. This year it is Team Hali.
There is a connection there I'm sure!!
Aliona carry on doing what you do. Harry you are a natural.
Team Hali for the final, and go one better than Team Mattiona!!

  • Comment number 33.

Harry, your dancing is fantastic! Aliona, I hope you've got plenty of tins of custard stocked up in your kitchen cupboards to keep you going through this series of Strictly!! Good Luck on Saturday! :-) xx

  • Comment number 34.

Think Zoe missed a trick when discussing the 'stairs' issues with Harry/Aliona and Brendan/Lulu.... any issue with anything in the world now ends in ....'gate'. Is it just because I'm a mum that I immediately thought - 'stairgate'? Made ME smile, anyway!

  • Comment number 35.

Great chemistry, great dancing, great partnership. Good luck tomorrow and have fun!

  • Comment number 36.

Harry please give it all you've got, because I love to see Aliona dance... Watch the show every weekday and on saturday; don't want to miss a minute of it!
    Good luck from Belgium

  • Comment number 37.

Mrs F @25 It's an impressive amount of training time. No wonder Harry's so hungry! Go Team Hali!

  • Comment number 38.

Looking forward to the Tango. Last year was magnificent and am sure this year will equal it. (Even although there is no guyliner)

  • Comment number 39.

So excited for your tango! Fantastic concept. Can't wait to see Harry being a vampire again ;) Go Team Hali!

  • Comment number 40.

Just love all of your dances!
    Just an quick tip,
I'm not an expert in the subject, but every single song, text, movie that talks about waltz always mentioned that you should look in your partners eyes,
    pretty romantic and stuff,
I just fault that Harry was so serious and concentrated that he missed the passionate look he had in other dances, like the grease one (my favorite by the way)
Keep doing the great brilliant work you guys have been doing,
I'm super excited with the next assignment, tango is know as really hard dance, but I'm sure you guys will rock it!

  • Comment number 41.

Watching the whole thing just cause of you! Wish I could vote here from Brazil =( But that's ok, you're both doing so great and you're totally gonna win this!

all the luck to you guys!

  • Comment number 42.

    Good Luck Team Hali ♥♥♥

  • Comment number 43.

Harry is brilliant, so please Aliona this year don't be so snooty about the judges.
They looked amazing in training, can't wait to see the real thing.

  • Comment number 44.

I am looking forward to seeing your Tango tonight !
Good Luck Harry and Aliona.... Go Team Hali Go.......

  • Comment number 45.

40 Yes agree with Ursula that it's so important to have eye contact when you are dancing together - during those few moments of the dance those watching have to believe the couple have a romantic connection and that cannot possibly happen if they don't have eye contact at every opportunity! it must be very difficult to do I should imagine and concentrate on steps at the same time, but will pay off if you can achieve it!

  • Comment number 46.

It is quite interesting visiting the various blogs this year so far. I have my favourites (team Hali if course) but this year more than ever I am enjoying the fact there is no clear leader and there is no Widdy factor to contend with. (Not sure Nanton will create the same furore.) But the blogs are quite quiet so far with the exception of C&P where they are really begining to party. I had hoped a few old bakerittes might have stayed with Aliona and joined in again this year as they contributed so much to my enjoyment of last season. Mind you I am not sure beef jerky is as good for getting a party going as cheesepuffs. Hope the party will get going tonight after the Halloween spooktacular with Hali at the top of the leaderboard.

  • Comment number 47.

Just had a look at Harry and Aliona's outfit for tonight. Wow! Harry is looking so "dashing" and handsome..... and he is such a nice lad! Aliona could put on an old sack as still look beautiful,l tonight Aliona is wearing a lovely red dress.

Good luck to Harry and Aliona for their tango tonight!

  • Comment number 48.

Hi little drummer fan I was a Bakerite last year and so loved the Mattiona blog used to chuckle so much with the cheesy puffs, beetroot and countryfile comments. This year I am supporting Harry and Aliona but I also like Jason and Kristina,Chelsee and Pascha and Flavia and Russell. Sadly no one can match Mr Baker for his enthusiasm, style commitment and just remembering the guyliner!! from last years Halloween show. Oh memories!!!

  • Comment number 49.

Hi littledrummerfan and cat66. Obviously, from my name, I was a Bakerite too. The blog was brilliant and I enjoyed it as much as the show....It was such a laugh.
Like you this year cat66, this year I like four couples so it's not nearly so intense and I won't get nearly so wound up by certain judges....
PS wonder if Harry likes beetroot......

  • Comment number 50.

Best of luck tonight Guys. I'm sure you will do really well. You two and Chelsee and Pasha are fantastic and you must both be in the final without a doubt. Can't wait for tonight's show. Its going to be fantastic!!

  • Comment number 51.

doctordancingdiva i completely agree with everything you have said. Chelsee and Harry for the final!!!!!!

  • Comment number 52.

Really enjoyed the performance this week in the Halloween special. Harry is brilliant! The best male celebrity ever! Aliona - if you don't choreograph for the judges you're not going to win. Take note of Len's and Craig's comments! PLEASE!!!!!!!!

  • Comment number 53.

Think Harry is a fab dancer but not enough tango content in the dance tonight. It's a shame as he is so capable of getting 4 10s but when I compare tonights tango to Aliona and Matts last year- which had loads of classic tango in hold there is no comparison. I appreciate Aliona is trying to be creative but please for Harrys sake take heed of Lens comments.

  • Comment number 54.

Well done 'Team Hali' thought you were great tonight. I think Haloween week is really difficult for the professionals and I can only summise the sort of mess Mr Goodman would make of it..... if he were doing the choreography!
Keep Harry in hold Aliona and make that vindictive man hold up his 10 paddle, or failing that go pickle his walnuts!!!

  • Comment number 55.

I thought Aliona was in a difficult situation because it was a themed night, and she was making the dance interesting. Harry, loved the guyliner, and thought it was an excellent dance. Len is not going to be pleased unless he gets more content, Harry can do it. Good luck for next week guys, cant see you having any problems getting through this week.

  • Comment number 56.

Harry and Aliona are brilliant. The one thing I have to say is that Aliona got to the final last year with Matt and the judges weren't happy with the choreography she used in one of the dances. Instead of fighting against Len give him what he wants and see what he scores you, then he will have no excuse to give you a low score. However I do think he is the one with the problem.

  • Comment number 57.

Len obviously dislikes Aliona loads. I wonder why and what can be done about it. She's marvellous

  • Comment number 58.

Aliona is great. Len, for some reason, is not a fan and it is so obvious in his undermarking. Shame. Go Hali Go

  • Comment number 59.

Wow. That was a fabulous dance. Worth a 9/10. Well done you guys.
Aliona... I love your choreography but Len clearly doesn't. Such a shame.

  • Comment number 60.

What week is Len not judging, because that week cannot come soon enough for me. Last week Karen Hardy and Kelly Book both said Harry and Aliona's dance was the best and Karen said it deserved a 10. I take that that as being a true reflection of marks when Karen has been a professional and knows what it takes to get the celebrity to the glitter ball.

  • Comment number 61.

Wow- thanks Team Hali for yet another FANTASTIC routine! Well done - you really deserved both the 10 and the 9, should have had higher from Craig and Len too.,..

  • Comment number 62.

Congratulations to Harry & Aliona - I loved your dance performance tonight. Theatrical, sexy, slick ! Aliona, I love your choreography but next week maybe give Len what he wants & keep him quiet for once.

  • Comment number 63.

Great dancing tonight , you two are so good together. Looking forward to hear what dance your doing next week. Keep it up guys, you both have my vote. Aliona, i have to agree with some of the comments on here. I knew Len wouldnt be happy, but it was still a great dance, please get harry to the final and give Len what he wants, more content and more wellie. lol

  • Comment number 64.

I think Aliona is one of the most underrated professionals. Last series she choreographed some amazing dances i.e. Samba, Charleston, Jive, Quick Step, Tango etc. all with lots of content. She may not get it right all of the time but she takes risks, aims to entertain the audience and her choreography is modern, fresh and exciting.

So far this series, Harry, Chelsee, Holly and Jason have shown great potential. I think that Harry has improved significantly since his first two dances, by showing improved technique as well as performance. Perhaps this was Aliona's aim; not to bombard him but focus on one or two things at a time. I really enjoyed Aliona and Harry's jive, slow waltz and thought their tango was great. It was worthy of 9s at least and I applaud Bruno and Alesha for being fair. Len might have a point to make, but awarding a 7 was both inconsistent and ridiculous.

Next week I think that Aliona will have to take on board what Len says so that we can have a week without his whining. I also think that Harry is very talented and should be challenged even more, particularly as we are approaching week 6.

Camilla Dallerup's view on SCD performances is worth a read: http://twitter.com/

  • Comment number 65.

Aliona, you are great, very talented, but maybe give Len what he wants and keep him quiet.

  • Comment number 66.

I think the tango was exquisitely danced by Harry and Aliona. Harry has shown such confidence in the last three dances and is actually leading his partner. Karen has pointed out that he has great technique. Len should be more consistent with his scores and get over his problem with Aliona. Since joining SCD Aliona has delivered high class and entertaining routines with Matt and now Harry.

    Well done Harry and Aliona

  • Comment number 67.

I loved it too, Harry is a fabulous dancer, but Craig also criticised Aliona for lack of "hold" and she really should take some notice of him.

  • Comment number 68.

I really love Aliona's choreography and I think she's had two great partners over the last couple of seasons and thought she did a fabulous job with Matt Baker.

I think the point about "hold," is a valid one, she's certainly capable of delivering that, but I loved their "waltz," and particularly loved the little scene on the steps..

Last night, for me, was another beautifully delivered routine and Harry is definitely one of the top 3 contenders for me and not just because he's unbearably cute!

  • Comment number 69.

I have to confess that I'm with Len to a certain degree - I have always thought that more of the actual dance is needed in Aliona's routines. But - last night won me over - not much in-hold-tango but I loved the story which was exquisitely performed by both of them. Harry has come on in leaps and bounds (pardon the pun) since the Grease routine. Brilliant!

  • Comment number 70.

Aliona - you have got a fantastic partner in Harry and he is capable of great things! PLEASE give him a proper dance routine - no props, no faffing around, just a brilliant dance with all the basics in, and IN HOLD please! I didn't vote for you last night for the first time, because I was frustrated at your routine - the bits you did in hold were amazing, it was the rest of the routine that disappointed. You won't get to the final if you don't up your game!

  • Comment number 71.

Aliona, I am a great fan of your innovative routines and moreover your choice of music but I, like many others, get frustrated when even I with my limited understanding of the technicalities of choreography know that the judges are going to criticise you. I could watch your routines week after week and thoroughly enjoy them but if you want to win the competition (and you have an excellent chance with Harry) you need to win over some of the more conservative viewers and judges too.

  • Comment number 72.

I thought the dance was spot on for the halloween special.

    Well done Harry and Aliona!!

  • Comment number 73.

I think Aliona's choreagoraphy over the last 2 weeks has been outstanding and spot-on for the themes, but clearly there is a problem with Len.

Last season Len consistently under-marked Aliona and Matt, as was discussed on IT2....and again this year it's happening again.

Does Len really think that dance last night deserved the same score are Lulu and Brendan ?

What is the problem really ?

    We should know...

  • Comment number 74.

I thought their Tango last night was incredible and definitely the best dance of the night for me anyway. Len needs to get with the modern times and realise that choreography changes all the time so I wish he would adapt and stop being such a fuddy duddy.

  • Comment number 75.

I think Len has a point in that regard.

Certainly choreography changes over time, but I don't think that's the point he was getting at.

I think it's probably perfectly possible to be inventive with the choreography, as Vincent & Flavia are with the Argentine Tango and yet it still be indentifiable as such.

I'd go for a kind of half-way house and insist that there has to be some elements of the stated dance there in the choreography for a substantial part of the dance, allowing room for a bit of play-acting and moves outside the "norm."

Even Craig, who's normally pretty liberal in such matters seemed to be saying that there wasn't much in the way of actual Tango content in this routine..

That said, of course, it looked great..

  • Comment number 76.

I think that Aliona and Artem share some similarities with their style of choreographing dances in a more contemporary manner. As much as I liked Pamela Stephenson and James Jordan's performances last year it seemed unfair that they achieved 4 10s for playing it safe, while Artem and Aliona didn't achieve 40 but wowed with their routines. I remember Artem was criticised by Len last year for his amazing American Smooth with Kara, because less than 40% was in hold. I also remember Aliona was criticised last series because certain dances i.e. the quickstep were "too hectic" with too much content and not enough focus on the performance, so sometimes she is damned if she does and damned if she doesn't. In my opinion, aside from their salsa and show dance, Aliona and Matt's dances were exciting but also had lots of content.

I just think that Len needs to be a little more consistent in his approach and give praise where it is due. When other professional dancers choreograph dances that are slightly lacking in traditional content Len has been softer in his critique, when Aliona does this he seems to annihilate her.

This series Aliona and Harry's cha cha cha and foxtrot had a good amount of content but the technique and performances didn't quite flow. However, I really enjoyed Aliona and Harry's jive, slow waltz and tango. Harry's performances and technique improved considerably during these three routines, he has great potential and this should be recognised.

Having said that, I agree with earlier comments made and Aliona is going to have to listen to Len if she wants to win this year.

  • Comment number 77.

Aliona is one of my favourite dancers (together with Flavia) but to be honest, I’m not sure about her as a choreographer She’s so lucky to have Harry, who in my opinion is the best dancer of this series. He’s naturally such a great mover that, whatever he does, he looks fantastic!

So I’m a bit fed up with her using so many trickeries for the audience (particulary her back bendings, please enough!) and not much ballroom dancing, especially when he’s absolutely brilliant at it. Over 20 seconds of Tango out of 90 seconds of “dancing” for me is just cheating. But why?? Aliona just keeps doing this and therefore, loosing points week after week when they should be top of the leader board.

Aliona, a question for you: do you want to win, or do you want to have an easy ride including all those eye-catching drops and body waives instead making Harry shine as a ballroom dancer? You said you don’t listen to the judges, but some people in the audience (as you can see here) also like to see the celebrities dancing ballroom, and at the end of the day, this is what the programme is all about.

Saying that, I thought those 20 seconds of Tango were brilliant, and I loved the beggining when on hold, both were holing the masks at the same time. Fan-tas-tic!

    Please, keeeeep dancing!

  • Comment number 78.

I agree with so many of the above comments; Harry is a great dancer, as was Matt Baker last year. However, Aliona needs to up her game with the choreography and I believe that's why Len is not being so generous with his marking. So many of the other professionals manage to choreograph great routines with plenty of dance content that show their celebrities to the best advantage - surely Aliona can do the same? Frustrating!

  • Comment number 79.

Fingers crossed for our lad tonight ♥♥

  • Comment number 80.

I love Harry and think he is an amazing dancer, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE aliona let him actually dance and stop doing long stupid bits!

  • Comment number 81.

I think That Harry is doing Brilliantly but I think Aliona Should Stop doing all the Silly little Bits at the start of the Dance and Just Like Harry Dance because then Harry will get a Ten from Len.

  • Comment number 82.

Jason mentioned he and Kristina are doing the Rumba next week, which dance is 'Team Hali' doing next week......can you let us know? Many thanks xxx

  • Comment number 83.

So glad Hali are thru... A class act ♥

  • Comment number 84.

Well done team Harliona! Which dance is next? Thanks

  • Comment number 85.

Harry, you have great skill and are clearly putting in tonnes of effort. Aliona, you're teaching the steps and styles so well there's no need to waste the 90 seconds with lots of 'extra bits'.

I'm rooting for you both and would love to see Prince Hal crowned King. Go for it!

  • Comment number 86.

I am feeling rather bad. Having expressed my frustration about choreography arguments I feel I should from now on just be absolutely positive about all the brilliant bits about team Hali so that they can feel every bit as loved and supported as team C&P ( who I am also fond of). Now Nanton has gone this competition may go a more traditional route with the judges condemned two being more frequently under the red spot light and so every mark will count. Harry is so willing to learn and has natural talent so with a brilliant teacher like Aliona they can go all the way to the final! Go Hali Go !!!

  • Comment number 87.

Harry is a natural and Aliona creates some amazing routines... Hali for the final!

  • Comment number 88.

Why are there so few comments on here? Chelsee and Pasha, who I also love, are way up front on the comments. Having said that Matt was the busiest blog last year and Artem and Kara still won - deservedly so. Need to get some more comments on here though. Can't believe haven't even got to page two yet!!

  • Comment number 89.

Hi harry i like u, aliona i love ur dancing!!!!! xxxxx

  • Comment number 90.

Hali have got the Samba... Aliona will do a great routine... this should be great!

  • Comment number 91.

Well done ojtocs, where did you find out 'team Hali' are doing the Samba? I hope this is another great week for Aliona & Harry. I think team C&P have a big following as they are stating what the food and drink requirements are for Strictly night.............. like team Mattiona did last year!!

  • Comment number 92.

Strictlyannie... I had a look on Harry's twitter... McFly are on Channel 5 tonight too!

  • Comment number 93.

I am with so many of the comments above, Aliona why oh why can't you just dance? It's what the audience want and what the judges want. You have got such a fantastic partner, show him, and therefore yourself, off to your full potential. Look at C&P who, both last week and this week, danced for the full 90 seconds and were amazing.

Please, please, please stop messing about and just DANCE!!

  • Comment number 94.

This comment was removed because the moderators found it broke the house rules. Explain.

  • Comment number 95.

Really, really loved the tango you two are head and shoulders above the rest but....*please* think about including more traditional choreography Aliona, it would be amazing to get 10s from the other judges too x

  • Comment number 96.

good tango hold, brill heel leads, well done harry and aliona. from chris in blackpool

  • Comment number 97.

Daviel22... That's your opinion but it's definitely not mine. I enjoy Aliona's choreo... it's very original!

  • Comment number 98.

love you so much Harry!!! you are amazing! I really hope you get to the final and a rooting for you all the way!! Well Done!!

  • Comment number 99.

Karen Hardy full of praise for Hali... she didn't make a big deal about the 'hold' issue either!!!

  • Comment number 100.

i love you harry you're the best dancer on the show ever hope you win. aliona is a brilliant choreographer and harry is a brill learner i wish you the best.
    p.s i'm team Hail's biggest(no1)fan
