I'm really looking forward to the rumba!

I wonder if Vincent's ever had Kendal Mint cake :P

  • Comment number 2.

There are women in their 20's that don't have the flexibility that Felicity showed tonight. Well done for getting into the spirit of the competition. Mature women can be very sexy and you've proved it, thank you!

  • Comment number 3.

Vincent works so well with the mature woman and creates extremely sexy choreography - I applaud the amount of committment that Felicity has put into the show by getting herself extra fit in the lead up to the show - it has certainly paid off judging by her amazing splits on Saturday night!

  • Comment number 4.

Vincent always manages to strike up such a wonderful rapport with his partners. He and Felicity are beginning to spark off one another and their dancing is getting stronger. Love them!

  • Comment number 5.

I've always enjoyed watching the stunning female dancers on Strictly, but last week was wowed at how fabulous Felicity's legs are, AND doing the splits! And she is 60-what? Amazing - I'm a new fan.

  • Comment number 6.

I am sooo jealous of Felicity being able to dance the tango with Vincent - in my dreams.....

  • Comment number 7.

    Hello
I was just thinking I have the problem of telling right from left if you get a little confused. i recall in a Judy garland film she wore a garter on her left leg to tell the difference. Just a suggestion.

  • Comment number 8.

Good Luck this weekend Felicity & Vincent,
Vincent, I seem to remember that you have a good record of high scores with the classic, close hold dances and you have a wonderful partner this year.
Felicity is poised, elegant, beautiful and graceful, so providing she can remember which way to turn you should have this one in the bag.
I can see it now, the Duchess of Richmond's Ball on the eve of Waterloo, the alluring, mature lady with her brave young suitor. Dance as you have never danced before for who knows what tomorrow will bring?
OK, I am welling up now, so Goodbye and Good Luck for tomorrow, you my brave boy (and the eyebrow) will fight the good fight against the forces of an Evil Empire.
    Keeeep Dancing!!!!

  • Comment number 9.

Good Luck Felicity & Vincent, the training video looked good on IT2 and the music does not sound too bad either.
    Keeeep Dancing!!!

  • Comment number 10.

Thoroughly enjoyed this performance and thought the music was amazing. Please tell me what the piece of music was.

  • Comment number 11.

Loved Felicity's Viennese Waltz! What was the beautiful music please?

  • Comment number 12.

Can someone tell me what the music was that Felicity and Vincent danced to please?

  • Comment number 13.

Got it! It was the theme to Jonathan Creek. It's called Danse Macabre.

  • Comment number 14.

Well I think you guys are doing a great job - you still look gorgeous and along with Pamela are putting the younger ones to shame. Yes some are great dancers but each week you consistently give good performances and great emotion/acting.

Go for it and all the best.

The music for tonight was - Waltz from Jazz Suite No 2 by Shoshtakovich

    :)

  • Comment number 15.

I love Felicity Kendal, i think she is an amazing actress and an amazing dancer. Hope she wins, and as for Vincent well...

  • Comment number 16.

It says they got 23/40 for the tango on this site when you got 29. Congratulations for staying in. A bit sad - Tina really didn't deserve to get voted off but neither did you. I think you deserve to stay in for a few weeks still - providing the really terrible dancers are voted of first. Stop saying your no good as well your really getting better. Just go for it, listen to Vincent and Vincent - choreograph something extra spectacular XD.

  • Comment number 17.

Well done the pair of you, neither you nor Tina & Jared deserved to be in the final two, but then life is rarely fair.
I did actually vote for you as my 'Most Improved' choice despite the slip up with the so called signature piece sliding splits and the stroll down the stairs.
The music was perfect for the dance and you looked fantastic.
Felicity you are an inspiration to mature ladies, by proving what can be done by those with a Bus Pass.
Your embarrassing situation this week just shows how dangerous that middle area on the Leader Board can be. Never mind you beat the odds this week and have another chance to prove how good you are.
    Keeeep Dancing!!!

  • Comment number 18.

How sweet was Vincent, shedding a tear? Aw, someone give him a hug.

  • Comment number 19.

Your dance was elegant and sophisticated, sorry that you found yourselves in the bottom two.Unfortunately there is no way to vote someone out so it's yet another chance to witness Strictly Come Clowning next week... nearly at your expense. You look great together and your efforts are appreciated, so good luck for next week.

  • Comment number 20.

Ah Felicity you and El Vincentzo are dancing the beautiful Paso Doble this week.
I hope that you have another suitable tune to accompany this emotive dance as the right music makes the so acting much easier and it will keep Len Goodman in a good mood.
I still believe that the dance by Paul Mercurio and Tina Morice in Baz Luhrman's 'Stricly Ballroom' is the classic Paso Doble, but that was a film. You have the chance to make history with a haughty Spanish Maid and her bull killing lover starring in your dance.
Vincent (and eyebrow) can be arrogant (as usual), whilst Felicity in Flamenco mode shadows her man.
So strut your stuff to the Matador's March and make sure that you keep out of the Danger Zone this week and be careful of the splits.
Even if you are supposed to be courting danger make sure that you do not get dragged down by the Double A Cowboys into a shoot out to the finish!
    Keeeep Dancing!!!

  • Comment number 21.

    Oh Dear Felicity & Vincent,
I was hoping to see more support than this for you two wonderful competitors.
Still, knock them out on Saturday with an absolutely classic Paso Doble that would stop Escamillo and Carmen in their tracks.
I expect to be stunned by your splendiferous spectacle and see the Judges salivating with surprise.
    Score well my flexible friends!!

    Keeeep Dancing!!

  • Comment number 22.

Felicity and Vincent to win. They are awesome!!!!!!

  • Comment number 23.

    Well Felicity & Vincent
It is probably too late to tell you both how impressive you looked on IT2 last night.
I was so pleased that you had actually chosen Georges Bizet's music to perform your Paso to, it is so appropriate for this dance.
Carmen was so fiery and full of lust, Escamillo was so arrogant and deadly; I am sure that your rendition will do justice to the legend.
After your 90 seconds of glory in sunny Seville (Ladbroke Grove)I don't expect a dry eye in the Bull Ring!
Just watch out for Don José or Micaëla lurking in the wings, especially if they are dressed to perform the Charleston!!

    Keeeep Dancing!!!

  • Comment number 24.

what number do i have to call to vote?

  • Comment number 25.

Loved it tonight amazing acting and sexy moves etc - need more great dancing in as well but it had me hooked.

    Number is 09015 222010

    :)

  • Comment number 26.

Felicity - you were truely beautiful tonight, the dance was not true Flamenco double step, but the mood you created, your dress and the charisma between you and Vincent moved me to tears.
Vincent - lovely choreography despite not being duple meter march, but brilliant routine despite the half hearted split and your disrobing at the end. It was not necessary and you are not Robin or Artim.
Best of all, no silly props and gimmicks just the two of you giving it your best shot, I agreed with the judges; your best to date and my personal favourite - deserved 8s at least, 9 for entertainment.

    Keeeep Dancing!!!

  • Comment number 27.

What a good idea to dance to the music from Carmen it is so approriate. I have often wondered why the classics are not more used as they can give more feel to the dance. How about Strauss for the VW

  • Comment number 28.

Seriously undermarked this week. Deserved an over 30 total. Great choreography and so graceful and entertaining.

  • Comment number 29.

    judyv @27

I am so glad that someone else shares my appreciation of Vicent's choreography including his choices of music.
    1. Classical music was designed to support dancing in the majority of cases (A bit difficult to Foxtrot to Götterdämmerung or the 1812) and is therefore timeless.
    2. The use of some modern music can distract from the dance itself.
    3. However, there is some great modern music that has been put to good effect and some of it has a classical touch.
Vincent is one of those professional dancers who regularly uses tracks that are easy on the feet and the ears. This one of the reasons why he regularly remains in the competition for so long, 2007 being the only exception when Stephanie Beacham was voted off in Week 2.
I am hoping that Felicity has enough support for her marvellous efforts in this year's SCD, because on the quality of their dancing, acting and entertainment, I think that they are a formidible pair.
Unfortunately they appear to be lacking the 'Fickle Factor' in the voting, hence their undeserved appearance in the bottom two last week.
My fingers are crossed but the Die was already cast last night, so all we can do is wait for the cursed Results Show this evening.
    Keeeep Dancing!!!

  • Comment number 30.

I was sorting out a cupboard and I found an exercise tape called
Shape up and dance with Felicity Kendall "look good! have fun! feel fit!" i bought it in 1981 . I wonder if she still has a copy????

  • Comment number 31.

He he I have an Shape up and excercise Vinyl made by Felicity XD.

All the best for this week you guys really looking forward to your performance. Can't wait to see your acting, suspense, drama and dancing, you both give the best alround performance :)

  • Comment number 32.

    Felicity & Vincent

I was so pleased by the plaudits given to your Paso Doble on IT2 by Karen.
Keep producing that great choreography Vincent and prove that age is no barrier to dancing excellence.

    Keeeep Dancing!!!

  • Comment number 33.

Well done on Saturday,--this a bit late as I've been away. Vincent, am I wrong in thinking that the disrobing and dragging Felicity across the floor was a nod in the direction of other far less worthy performances? If so, good for you, and in my not so humble opinion you are far more sexy than Gavin Henson(but you knew that),and Felicity is a graceful, expressive and lovely woman, not a lifeless, sexless life form useful only for polishing the floor. Very good luck for next week. You are both gracious and graceful and deserve all the praise you dont get.

  • Comment number 34.

A very witty end to the Paso. Here is hoping the transitions are smoother this week.

  • Comment number 35.

    Felicity & Vincent
If rumour is to be believed this week it is the Salsa, quicker than I think you prefer Vincent, but you have always had interesting routines in the past.
Based upon your beautiful Paso Doble I believe that you are perfectly capable of breaking through the 30 barrier this weekend.
I have watched the Paso about ten times or so as I think it is a classic.
Best wishes to both of you, break a leg!

    Keeeep Dancing!!!

  • Comment number 36.

Vincent, you are lucky to have such a beautiful lady, I was so pleased that you were both told you were safe, as you were always the last to be told in previous weeks, and I was on the edge of my seat, keep it up, she is such an elegant lady, and you look good together, wish it was me. I see you both doing well over the next weeks, and pray for you both. keep it up, there are so many people on your side Felicity, and you deserve it, vincent will look after you, you will have to do the rest, beautiful still, after all these years. Bob Brooks.

  • Comment number 37.

    Felicity
I saw the drawing of your dress this evening and those trimmings should accentuate your hip movements beautifully.
I know that Vincenzo is the Maestro of all things Latin American so I expect to see some scintillating choreography in your routine this Saturday.
    Break a Leg!
    Keeeep Dancing!!!

  • Comment number 38.

Oh man what happened tonight. I love you guys and I think your great. Vincent - what complicated armography. How could you expect anyone who isn't an amazing dancer or have brilliant transitional skills to pull that one off!! Felicity please keep going and do your best, you are doing a fabulous job. Your best strengths are by far your acting skills, characterisation, drama/atmosphere. You are getting much better in hold and the basic steps and on some of the fancier moves and lifts that have been so sexy and sometimes breathtaking. Yes, don't go back to just relying on being amazingly bendy but keep going. The best dances are the ones in which you have incorporated the above. Maybe a mixture of that and more dancing etc. Vincent, you need to be more sensitive to her strengths and weakness, I can't believe you even attempted tonight. Very good job considering its complexity and volume.

Keep enjoying yourselves, you make a fabulous team and don't let tonight get you down, let it inspire you for Blackpool XD.

  • Comment number 39.

I really love you both, but last night was a DISASTER, all the complicated business with the arms spoiled it completely, what were you thinking of Vincent ?

  • Comment number 40.

I LOVE FELICITY KENDAL, am 15 years old and i am her biggest fan ever. I would love it if she won. Felicity we are all routing for you, your a beautiful and lovely woman and i love you xxxxxx

FELICITY KENDAL TO WIN STRICTLY COME DANCING 2010 !!!!!!

  • Comment number 41.

    Felicity & Vincent
I am not sure whether or not you are glad to be going to Blackpool or if the strain is starting to take its toll, but I was really surprised that the choreography this week was so off and complicated.
Felicity instead of acting and looking joyful and rhythmic, you looked taut and extended. Is one of your granddaughters called Cassandra? They say "out of the mouths of babes" and their prediction of "Disaaaarster!" in the rehearsal scene was very accurate.
I am afraid that Vincent must take any blame for the outcome as it was his interpretation of the Cuban Salsa to Lionel Ritchie's Jamaican Chant which embarrassed both of you.
As I understand the aim of all the versions of the Salsa (Cuban, New York & LA), is to move rhythmically with the hips whilst dancing between 150 to 250 beats per minute. You started to achieve this after 25 seconds of preamble and chain stitch manoeuvres and the next 18 seconds were fine until you went back into a 'sailor's hornpipe' clinch which slowed you both down.
Frankly it looked like you were trying to do Argentinean Tango to a Samba. The upper body was all over the place and Felicity's weight changes kept going off beat.
If I did not know better Vincent, it almost looked as though you were trying to dance anything except a Salsa. Felicity deserves better than that and as the teacher it is your job to use her strengths and minimise her weaknesses.
With two dances to learn for Blackpool you do not need a celebrity with a morale crisis, so good luck with rebuilding her confidence over the next few days.
Felicity, it was a bad night on the boards, you have had them before and I am sure that you will have them again. Get over it, chin up, HAPPY FACE and start looking forward to Blackpool!

    Keeeep Dancing!!!

  • Comment number 42.

Well Felicity I am glad that you have found your HAPPY face this week because you are starting to look relaxed again.
We did not see very much of Vincent's choreography in this week's training videos, but your dancing was graceful and elegant.
So it is back to Hollywood in the golden days of Astaire and Rogers, Kelly and Charisse, where you can use your formidable acting skills to become the perfect dancing partner.
Your dress looks beautiful yet practical, just like you. Remember to be glamorous and enjoy yourself, the effect will animate the audience.
As individuals both you and Vincent are small and slender but you both know how to fill a stage with your personalities. I am sure therefore that the Tower Ballroom will only present a minor challenge to you both.
Well Felicity, break a leg and come out fighting as only a beautiful lady with your gumption and experience can. Show us how you earned your OBE!

    Keeeep Dancing!!!

  • Comment number 43.

I'm probably too late for you to read this; Best Wishes for tonight and I hope that you do well enough to get through.
You are a marvelous lady Felicity.

  • Comment number 44.

Lovely dance tonight. If you do go out it is on a high. Much better in the transitions - well done both. Very elegant indeed. XD

  • Comment number 45.

    Felicity & Vincent
It looks as though you enjoyed your Fish & Chips in Blackpool, the video clip of you tucking in started a mass forum about chips and what to dowse them in right across the Strictly Blog network.
Your dance looked beautiful this evening and although Felicity did a bit of her usual tick tocking I still gave you a vote as my Personal Favourite routine.
The start was a bit ropey with those props holding you up but the dance itself was a lot smoother in the hold and the lifts.
That spray on dress was a bit posh Felicity; was it as tight as it looked?
I hope that you can stay clear of the bottom two this week, I shall keep my fingers crossed.

    Keeeep Dancing!!!

  • Comment number 46.

    Felicity & Vincenzo

The word on the blogs is that you in danger of leaving the show.
I hope that this is not so as you have been a magnificent example to the older generation that one can be sexy beyond sixty.
Good Luck to you both whatever has happened.

    Vinnie

  • Comment number 47.

    Well Felicity & Vincent
You may depart from Blackpool Tower with your drums beating and your colours flying.
You tried your best but in the face of overwhelming opposition from the dark forces of the wizard Widdecombe and her allies from Mount Doom, you could do no more.
You may now both return to the bosom of your families in the Shires via the IT2 studio at Rivendell ruled by the elf princess Claudia.
Enough of the Fantasy, well done and good luck with the next projects on the horizon.
Vincent you have your lovely son Luca and the beautiful Susan. Felicity your family has those wonderful grandchildren including the prescient 'Cassandra' and her "Disaaaster Grannie!"
You are far from a disaster as you must have inspired every woman over Fifty to be fit in mind and body. All you have to do now is work out a failsafe way to determine Left from Right.
Thank you for all the hard work and entertainment, it was a pleasure supporting you both.

    Keeeep Dancing!!!

  • Comment number 48.

Felicity Kendal my name is Emmy Gill am 15 and i am your biggest fan ever !!!

Felicity i can't believe you have gone :'(
you where AMAZING and I LOVE YOU, you and Vincent got yours selfs to Blackpool so take some of the credit !!!
Am really gonna miss you on Strictly and hope to see you in something else soon. You are an AMAZING woman !!!

    Lots of Love Emmy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Comment number 49.

It is absolutely diabolical that Felicity Kendal has been voted out whilst others who should not even be described as suitable to be in such a competition are still there. It is firstly a dance competition, not a popularity contest, if that was the case then the dancing should be dispensed with and it would not be called STRICTLY COME DANCING. The emphasis being STRICTLY and DANCING. I will not be watching anymore whilst those such as you, who are obviously seriously committed, are going out before far less talented competitors.

  • Comment number 50.

So sorry to see you go, both of you. You were so unpretentious and polite all the time.Vincent I think you deserve more praise than you get and Felicity your family should be so proud of you and I'm sure they are. You are graceful and gracious.x

  • Comment number 51.

Felicity didn't deserve to go tonight!
Her dance was awesome and she looked beautiful.

It's a shame that someone who can actually dance and is trying really hard to gets voted out!!!!!!

Well done Felicity and Vincent for getting this far, you were robbed!! x

  • Comment number 52.

Hugs to Felicity & vINCENT. Sad & very unfair that they should have been voted off last night. When will the British public start voting for the dance and not the oddities? Thankyou Felicity for proving that women of a certain age can be beautiful, sexy and VERY flexible. Your exit comments were full of grace and good manners. Thankyou.

  • Comment number 53.

Really sad that you have gone you were my favourite by far, most interesting dances overall and excellent acting throughout. Congratulations on getting so far. Would have liked to have seen (well technically everyone go before you guys but) at least three couples go before you. One who is not at all entertaining and can't dance and two that are now around your level on average (only not half as interesting).

You were a pleasure to watch and your efforts will be greatly missed. :)

  • Comment number 54.

    Felicity & Vincent

I saw you on IT2 this evening and as usual you both behaved impeccably in the fortress of Princess Claudia.
I agree with your final sentiment, I hope that the best couple win this year as well.
Good Luck with your new projects.

    But Keeeep Dancing!!!

  • Comment number 55.

I'm amazed at the hype given to Ms Kendal's 'youthful'appearance . She simply looks her age , and has benefited from terrific makeup to disguise the agespots ....look at some old footage of 2 yrs back and the facts are there . The lady with fab youthful looks is Pamela Stephenson, that is skin to be proud of.
Ms Kendal should ask her dentist to adjust the length of her crowned /veneered teeth . Her lipline is incorrect which is why she seems to feel self concious about them

  • Comment number 56.

It should not have been you that was voted off. There is one dancer still in the competition who should not be there.I am sure most people know who I mean. It is a dance competition not a comedy show.
