Rehearsals again
I've just come out of the rehearsal and thought I'd do a quick summary. But everyone is definitely finding their feet as there is definitely less going wrong:
Nevertheless, last night's big rain has put paid to a few cameras. You can almost hear them fizz and pop...
Yet again the fat cats seem to be getting all the cream while the polecats are obviously off doing a polka. But will they be there tonight?
Gordon Buchanan has a meeting with Santa...
It turns out that chaffinch chicks look just like Keith Flint from The Prodigy...
Simon shows us footage of two animals - bleached white in the thermal imagining - catching baby rabbits. The producer thinks the mystery animals may be polar bears. To me, they look suspiciously like Chris Packham's poodles...
And Chris Packham's lupins go decidedly loopy...
Stay tuned. All will be revealed!

Hello Mole,
Tell Chris Packham to try some thistles in his wildlife garden - the bees were all over the big fancy ornamental ones at the Chelsea Flower Show last week. They were keen on digitalis too, and I see he's got some of those on the go so that's good.
Also cornflowers are very popular with bees and he can just chuck a packet of seed in a suitable corner of the garden. Lovely.
Great poodles too, by the way.
Keep up the good work, I'm amused that each season Simon is always looking for something obscure and camera-shy.
Chris Packham excellent choice too. Perfect casting that's right up there with Harry Hill doing the voiceover for You've Been Framed in my book.
Yours
BB

The bumble bees are about here in the Vale of Glamorgan. However, have noticed several dead ones with mites crawling all over them. Are the mites the cause of their demise?
