Joined in studio by the boy Wayne and Sven 'I-have-always-loved-Leicester' Goran Eriksson, the Special 1 goes behind the headlines of the Premier League, fuelling conversation and debate among a host of callers with his unique style of puppet-punditry.

Have watched this twice now, just to give it a go, and I think I have smiled once. I don't like to be negative, but I'm sure the BBC appreciate constructive feedback, so; I really don't find this funny.

P.S If you are going to persist with this spitting image remake, could you at least go the whole hog and make fun out of politicians too? Football is a very small world and a lot of what goes on is'nt even funny, despite people's attempts at making it appear so. You get to the point where you run out of funny gags when basing your show on one very small inward looking aspect of life. I get the feeling this concept would become funnier if it was opened up a little. There are only so many jokes you can make about football before it becomes puerile and childish.

Puppets are great...script is terrible..and impersonations are some of the worst ever..Mick McCarthy was the only one that was any good! Mourinho talks slower anyway......3/10 could do a lot better!
