Special 1 TV: Just like that
Has any other season ever been so topsy-turvy? Bottom beats top but stays bottom, Voyeur blows top after scraping barrels bottom.
And Mr Capello does his best to bring some much-needed pizzazz to the show. Do it!

The rubbery stars of BBC3's 'Special 1 Tv' are back and they are even more amazing, even more fantastic and even more incredible than ever before. Joined in studio by the boy Wayne and Sven 'I-have-always-loved-Leicester' Goran Eriksson, the Special 1 goes behind the headlines of the Premier League, fuelling conversation and debate among a host of callers with his unique style of puppet-punditry.

This is, by far and away, the best thing the BBC has done for the last five years. Tremendous.

I could do better impressions, this is pathetic. We'd better not lose 606 and this remains.
PS Sven should not have gone.

Was strange how he did say four times as likely to implode last week though before the Arsenal game, credit to Jose.

how have they done a spitting image style mask, and somehow made wayne rooney better looking?
Complain about this comment
Anything would make rooney look better looking. Even his pad women insist that he wears a mask.

Puppets.

BRING BACK SVEN !!!! WELL..

I think this load of old puppet rubbish and all the comments made, including mine, show exactly why the BBC should get rid of Special1TV AND 606, and concentrate on good sports reporting.

my anus could do better comedy. and probably write better comments too

Get rid of this rubbish!

Far and Away was the worst film Tom Cruise did in the last 15 years.
Hamsters.

I wonder if the show's name will change to Normal One when Mourinho gets kicked out of the Bernabeu like everyone else?
Rabid lemmings.

Gosh Darn It! I'm a no-budget filmaker who has applied for numerous jobs at the BBC - and every time I don't get one I'm like: "Well, I'm sure it went to someone who has considerably more talent than me."
I was wrong!
Decide for yourselves:
www.terrorbeneaththetay.co.uk
It's a trailer I made for a feature film that cost £30, though please be warned it has hee-haw to do with football.
P.S. Mat R Knight And Day is probably a worse Tom Cruise film of the last 15 years AND the title could have been worked into a phrase such as: "I'm gonna cry over the demise of Spitting Image all Night And Day."

Only funny line was the Arsenal joke which has been doing the rounds on e-mail all week.
Flipping Heck! I'd even heard it by Monday and I live on the other side of the planet!

.. Funny as always, although it seems as though a few Arsenal fans have temporarily fallen out with the show!

I didn't know José Mourinho was from Bulgaria.
Great show; wonderfully funny. A triumph for the BBC after the Top Gear debacle...oh, by the way, my Mexican cable TV company has taken BBC News 24 off its digital package - I demand reparation! I have to make do with CNN.

This is worese than Spanish humour

Apalling, facile, ridiculous. Thank God I am not a licence-payer! Do journalists go to school these days? Whoever was responsible for this should be sin-binned and perhaps apply for a job in an advertising agency. Pathetic.

hunterlevi, It's not anti-semitic, unless you're also going to complain about Ann Widdecombe saying there was 'something of the night' about Michael Howard. Yes Avram Grant is Jewish, but it is not because he is a Jew that the jokes are being made. It is possible to make a comment about someone based on their personality, rather than their ethic background.
Complain about this comment
As someone with a sense of humour, I find this offensive.
Complain about this comment
Christoph
What Ann Widdecombe said WAS offensive and many Jews feel the same way. Can anyone can name one thing that would be behind a BBC decision to portray Avram Grant as living in a coffin other than implying he is a vampire, a deeply offensive stereotype about the Jews. Other than that the video also makes light of Jewish Sabbath celebrations on a Friday night, which was also part of the reason i found this video incredibly offensive.
Given that there is a massive stereotype about Jews being vampires do you not think the BBC should avoid at all costs depicting something like that. Even if it was not meant as offensive it still is incredibly stupid.

The bottom line, anti-semitic or not, is that it is not funny. Bring back Robbo or at least get rid of this rubbish. It costs money and its very poor.

This isn't a BBC production, it was on Setanta 2 years ago.
Unoriginal, plagiarising tosh, this is where your licence fee goes. smh

May be the red wine but sorry, that was one of the best, Avram and Mick, brilliant
Complain about this comment
Anti semitic!!!, you just don't get it, it has nothing to do with being Jewish. It is just that Avram always looks like 'death warmed up' half the time with that 'hang dog' expression and always dressed in black. Ted 'The Count' Hankey has made a career on it as did Ray 'Dracula' Reardon.Get a grip

This is the first time for me. It is idiodic, facile and rubbish. That, in itself doesn't bother me, except for two reasons:
the people who watch, and enjoy, it must be vacant, facebook addicts, where one-line mush is better than a good book; the amazingly poor standards of spelling, grammar, etc. can be seen here;
and the fact that the BBC spends money on this tripe is amazing!

If anything all these comments show why 606 should go, it's full of whiners. Though I have to admit the Capello impression is woeful. Love the rest!

does anyone else really, really, hate the twitter rubbish that they have started using instead of 606??? i mean really, who gives a rats @55 what some punter who thinks he's important enough to have a twitter page has to say?!! at least on 606 you could correct/take down/argue/verbally abuse people.

I must admit I find the comments of trolls hilarious.
Q. If you think you can do better, why aren't you?
A. Because you're both too lazy and scared to even try.
Sure this isn't the greatest thing the BBC has pumped out, but it's 5 minutes of decent, light humour and if it really makes you that upset and angry - dont watch it!
