Too much Ink

Simon Mayo Simon Mayo Presenter

The Nashville t-shirt is out today for its first appearance of the year. It needs the promise of at least 21 degrees C for this to be a sensible move and the air con in the studio to not be on freezing (its normal setting). There is a need for a summer wardrobe here, one that needs to be addressed. But shopping is such a pain that last years items may have to suffice. They weren't exactly new then either but whatever...I'm still not quite convinced that the winter coat won't be required before the summer is out anyway.

Just off the phone with Nigel B for tonight's 'delight' which turns out to be stuffed squid with black pasta. I mean really. There is NOTHING that would make me order that at a restaurant, nothing at all. So I will observe Nigel as he performs his duties but I might not join in. It's all too rubbery. I have learnt that Nigel can perform miracles but this may well be just beyond him.

Oldies today please on WINDFARMS as they are back in the news with, apparently, local communities being given more powers to block onshore wind farms, but also offered greater incentives to accept them (according to BBC News). So windfarms it is!

Have a sprightly and energised Thursday, see you after 5

Good morning Simon, Drivetime team and fellow bloggers,

Thanks for all the comments re the recent demise of Cedric. Daughter was the one who decided it was the right time, and she, who is hoping to be a vet one day, took him.

Simon, I am with you all the way as far as squid is concerned! Yuck and double yuck!
