No helicopter, no hassle. ZZZZZZZZZZ. Thank you for your concern. It'll be the foxes next but for the moment, the 'hood is silent (as no one says, ever). Not even any mossies in the room-this will never last.
So the always charming Midge Ure today (I know, more insects). I first interviewed him when he was in early days Ultravox and I was at Radio Nottingham (and about 15). We talked about his days in Slick and Rich Kids but it was the Ultravox years that stick with us, then his many solo hits. His love of electronica is never far away and on his new album he has a collaboration with Moby. The collection is called Fragile and we will speak to Midge after 6.
And what with Midge, mossies and reports of the perfect summer for biting insects (oh joy) let's try songs for the 'swarmageddon' (spellcheck not happy). It's the muggy weather of course. Damp, warm, rainy. Bite, suck, scratch. It's hell out there! I told you to wear long trousers.
And it'll be the wasp season next...
Shut the windows!
Say no to horseflies and their wickedness!
You get the idea. See you at 5.
