The luxury of another home based posting before setting off for the wilds of Hammersmith. It could easily take as long as getting to York but I'll give it a go. I will miss the luxury of a badly cooked bacon roll, dripping with grease and ringed with fat but I can always catch up later. I need to purge myself of all the bad things that I have consumed this week. It's broccoli time I think. There was a food survey a while back that put broccoli at 100 points and (can't remember but something like) fizzy sweets at 0 points and everything else inbetween. So since then I have always eaten the green stuff to atone for my sins. The more long distance public transport with iniquitous price structures-the more sinning. I need an allotment.

Just caught up with the piece in the The Independent about a day at Radio 2 and why, essentially, we are all so lovely. Very nice article and one of the many plus points about this sweep of the nation's educational establishments is meeting so many parents and teachers who love Radio 2 and love Drivetime too.

Just listening to Jo talking to Chris about BBC Introducing. Here's the blurb from the website...

BBC Introducing brings together all of the BBC's supporters of undiscovered and unsigned music. If you're making music, upload your best tracks and get your music heard by the BBC. Your music could be played on our family of BBC radio shows and you could bag yourself a slot on the BBC Introducing festival stages or one of our Introducing sessions.

It's a big old project stretching across the BBC to discover sparkly new talent and Jo is live from Cardiff tonight. Let's do INTRODUCING songs, oldies with INTRODUCTIONS in them and then we'll be ready for Jo at 8 tonight.

Have an energetic and fabulous Thursday, see you after 5

#177 No Jennie, you must be special.

Erica, it was my own stupid fault really. I went over to say goodnight to him and he put his head down luring me into a false sense of security. I went to stroke his head (I thought he might have finally started to love me as I feed him every morning). SNAP. His beak locked onto my finger.

    Swear words were used.

No hot cross bun for me, thank you, Flo, I'll wait. I only eat them on Good Friday, same as I only eat panckes on Shrove Tuesday. Drives my lot MAD! And I can't really explain why?

Hope Sal hasn't been washed away.

I used to have a pair of lovebirds. Lovely little things but crikey did they have a 'peck' on them. It got to a point where my nerve endings must have been shot in a particular place because I almost became immune to their bites, though my blood flow didn't. Budgie pecks were like being tickled after the lovebird experience. And they were only little, I dread to think what a big beak could do! Birds clearly don't know about the 'biting the hand that feeds you' thing.

The words "wring" and "neck" spring to mind Mildred but no, no animals were hurt in the writing of this blog ;0)

Morning all. It's finally stopped raining here. At least we are the other side of that pesky front that is fighting the cold weather, and have only floods to contend with rather than snow.
very welcome toasted buns, Florence - don't mind if I do! Thank you muchly.

Ouch, Shona. Hope you rapped Jocko across the beak (metaphorically, of course - no birds or animals were harmed in the writing of this blog).
