Nearly there. Today I take child 3 shopping. Many bloggers will be familiar with this ritual. Arrive in large store, give child money, arrange to meet up in 30 mins by the watches. You just start to do your own shopping when child finds you after 3 mins, needing help. Child gets bored and disappears to toys, leaving you to get everything. Just like before. Ho ho hum. But then it's time for chips! Even if it's only 11am! This is not only good parenting but also good training for the indulgent season ahead.

More live festive music today and it's Amy McDonald today. Pictures would be lovely of course and maybe we can bring those back next year but it's the audio that needs to be right and as Red Sky July proved yesterday, there can be a tingle-factor with a live moment. Amy was poorly earlier in the month-she collapsed in Salzburg and had to rearrange some gigs- but she's got the all clear now and will back in action for us tonight.

Your songs please on a NATIVITY theme for our last oldie selection. Wise men, shepherds, angels, babies (or baby), ox and asses, stars, stables etc. (btw sorry I missed the Greg Lake selectors-paperwork issues) Your last chance to get an oldie mention this year! Apart from the ARF mention! Enough!!!

Have a waterproof and pleasingly-towelled Thursday, see you after 5.

    I meant to say above

Julia 41 - it has been lovely to see you the last couple of night. Thank you for the cheesy balls and I hope the cold clears up soon. I am still giggling at the thought of you with a perm, you have such great hair. I can giggle because of course I had some truly dreadful perms in the early 90's, what were we thinking?

Thanks folk, tax is the bane of my life so getting a tax related mention was funny.

Glad to see we are still here! See you over the page.

Well, I'm rather relieved the world didn't end - not least because it would have been a terrible waste of a day's holiday for me today!

    Friday's blog is up when...?

    Morning all,

Ahhh Billie, you just made me choke on my tea! It's good to start the day with a laugh :)

And.... drum roll... I have sunshine!

There is a lot of list writing here but not actually much doing what is on the lists... ah well, there's loads of time left isn't there? ;)

See you in a few clicks.
    Jx

Ooh you are a wag, Billie!

I'm off to do my mile on the exercise bike - that usually guarantees a new blog from Lord Ammo............

    Good Morning!

The world's still here on Anglesey - grey and damp it is.

Can't wait for the new blog - can't wait to suggest "Spirit of Radio" by Rush for ARFO. Ha!

    Hello All,

    I'm cream crackered, so I'll be brief(ish).

Thank you for the congrats for the Christmas County Showstopper, and thanks to Simon and team for playing it. I think Suzy Bogguss is great, and it was lovely to hear 'Two-Step 'Round The Christmas Tree' on the radio.

Well done to everyone who got a mensh, I heard Molly's. :-)

I have enjoyed all the live music this week, and Amy McDonald was fantastic with her version of 'Merry Christmas Everybody', it was nice to have a less shouty rendition of that song.

It was a shame that Simon drew the short straw for playing that X Factor winner's single, what awful, overblown tosh it is. I do appreciate Simon's pregnant pauses after he announces such dross though, I can almost hear what he's thinking! ;D

I will try to pop in later for the blog Christmas party (Mayans, and other disasters aside).

    Goodnight One and All. x
