And good morning to all bloggers, old new and vets. A fine weekend I hope. I was (as you may have read here) in beautiful Bath at the Children's Lit Festival and talking to a cool collection of families. Youngsters, slightly-less-than-youngsters and a few bags of sherbet lemons is a fine way to spend a couple of hours.

And then blogger Hoffs and Master Hoffs appeared and photos were taken and all was well. I always enjoy meeting everyone afterwards, although it usually means I miss the train home and a bit of re-jigging is needed. Bath looks fine on most days but in the sunshine of Saturday it was spectacular. Could have stayed all weekend!

Then that night I dreamt I was Art Garfunkel and was lost backstage at the Royal Albert Hall and I wondered if an excess of sherbet can cause such things. Maybe I should stick to fruit gums in future...

Today is book club day and Jacqueline Wilson returns with another hit book for her loyal audience called Emerald Star, the third of her Hetty Feather books. Jacqueline has sold 35 million books, is a former Children's Laureate and a Dame for services to children's literacy. This woman know a thing or two! Some of our younger listeners will be reviewing her book after 6.

And David Blaine oldies please. The illusionist is spending three days and nights standing in the middle of a million volts of electric currents streamed by tesla coils. The stunt is called "Electrified: One Million Volts Always On." He is wearing a chainmail bodysuit as a barrier between himself and the electric currents and some scientists have cast doubt as to how dangerous it really is. However, we will play some Blaine-themed tunes on today's show.

Have a sparky and electrifying Monday yourself. See you after 5.

Morning all. Nice to get a mensh yesterday - it's been a while.

112 Amelia - Re: Confessions - it's a long story, and I haven't time right now, but will try and recap later on the new blog...

Right now, a visit to the coffee shop is in order...

    Good Morning All

I have loved reading back over the posts from last night. This blog is such a great place to hang out!

Lovely picture Amelia! I have a thing about the sky and water - I take a lot of pictures of both. I'll try and upload a picture of Stonehaven from Saturday if I get time this evening - it was on my phone so not great quality, but the North Sea was a gorgeous colour.

Hoffs, we missed your blog anniversary. Congratulations on becoming a blogvet!

Jennie - good luck with the weigh-in. Does it make a difference if you hold your tummy in...?

Jilly - no, as far as I know Jeffrey hasn't been on Mastermind yet. And he's not on this week either - I checked the Radio Times (other listings magazines, etc...) and none of the specialist subjects is his.

Amelia again - yes, absolutely agree about inflated tickets for gigs.

Must finish getting ready for work. See you all over the page.

    ~X~

    Good Morning Everyone.

Brrrr Jack Frost has been round in the night and left a good dusting. The cars all look like a good scraping is required before usage.

If we're going to do photos, I'll need help and step by step instructions please and thank you.

Off to waken the pups for walkies which seems such a shame as they look so cosy in their beds but Jimmy's injection must be administered at an early hour.

    Catch you over the page.

    Keep warm and carry on.

    Shona X

Thank you all so much for the kind comments about my photo. One of the things I love about living here is that the colour of the sea goes from the brightest turquoise blue to the darkest black - often on the same day.

Like Florence I have a “proper camera” that doesn’t get used that much because it is just too damn heavy. I live in a beautiful part of the world and should take more photos. I take ok gig photos and need more practise taking landscapes that aren’t boring.

Monday’s always run away from me, just having a chance to read back now.

John - I am really pleased your mum has the all-clear. I hope her small op goes well and she recovers quickly.

We were right about OMD at least! New milk frother being bought at the weekend.

The whole issue of gig ticket being sold on at inflated prices makes me so mad I could scream. I have spent so long sitting online trying to get tickets for bands I love and being disappointed. How difficult can it be to tie the ticket to the person buying them and their credit card or something. Why should criminals make money at the expense of genuine music fans? Live music is one of the great joys in life and it just isn’t fair that miserable, money grabbing sods (don’t want to be wombled) can ruin it.

Jenny - good luck for tomorrow - you have done so well so far!

Aberdeen is both a beautiful city but often a tad windy. Bits of me have never warmed up from being in the sea there as a kid I swear. Pleased Deebee & Mo had a lovely, sunny weekend.

Shona and SirC - I will be disappointed if I don’t see video evidence of your TV appearences! SirC - it was obviously before my time you mentioned your confessions appearance, so can you share again?

Good show tonight - the children talking to Jacqueline Wilson were wonderful - so engaged and eloquent. And the Finnish was hilarious.

Flo - thank you. I think it is a great idea for everyone to take a photo at a particular time. Your post at the weekend made me stop and take the photo today whereas I would usual just admire the view and drive on.

How was the gig tonight? I can’t decide about the new album. Some good songs but overall a little underwhelming perhaps.

Well done to all the blogpoppets who had menshes earlier and to Vildeen for the Showstopper. Lovely to see you've posted a photo, Amelia... a nice blue sky and water to match.. and perhaps you'll encourage a few more blogpoppets to post pics.

It might be fun one day to choose a certain time and for everyone take a photo at that time, of wherever they happen to be and post it on the blog!
