Interesting, but if you'd asked Queen Elizabeth I if she were a protestant, what would she have said? If you'd asked her if she were a Catholic, what would she have said?

Did I just hear Neil MacGregor say "hunchback Richard, who murdered the Princes in the tower" without even the caveat mentioning Tudor propaganda? Richard wasn't a hunchback there is no evidence of that whatsoever and he is only allegedly responsible for those children disappearing (again there is no evidence that they were murdered, just that they disappeared - although balance of probabilities would indicate that they were, it wouldn't get you convicted in a court!). It would be nice to have a director of the British Museum not repeating propaganda, Tudor or otherwise, without stating he was doing so..Other than that it was a good program.
