Alec Stewart's England ratings 5:59pm on 14 Jul 2008 Despite your comments Alec I believe it is unfair to ask you to comment on players that you represent. In particular your talking up of Prior on TMS I thought was totally out of order. Congratualtions on being an agent , and well done for being a radio pundit. However there are times when the two are not compatible and this is one. You just make yourself look stupid and it reflects badly on the players you manage. Frankly I'm surprised the Beeb allow it.
England one-day ratings 1:42pm on 29 Jun 2008 Hard to take seriously anything from Stewart regarding Bell. How can he be objective when he is his agent and therefore talking him up (albeit not marking him up) whilst salivating at thoughts of 10% of Bell's share of the 2020millions.
On a more general note it seems to me that the current england team are a self satisfied pampered bunch who think the hard work is done by getting into the squad and are now desperate not to lose out on the millions soon to be swilling around the system. Therefore they are not playing their normal game and the pressure is on more than ever. It is not surprising we read of divisions and cliques opening up between Test only and shorter form players as imagine how strauss for example might feel in missing out on £1m+ to someone like say swann . It's all going to end in tears.
