Turf vs. Seed 11:49am on 07 Sep 2009 You didn't include the cost of the netting for the seed sown lawn which most gardeners, esp. with that size plot, won't have. Do try to remember what ordinary people have.
Summer lawn care 1:53pm on 06 Jul 2009 I gat rather annoyed that Gardeners' World is off air for all this time and when it is on it's coverage from shows. Can't we have both? I realise Wimbledon gets in the way but I could cope with watching Gardeners' World at 9pm rather than 8pm. The BBC was only showing a repeat of Top Gear in that slot. It would be good to have a bit more follow through of projects. The planting bit is easy - it's the after care and problem solving I find tricky!

Spring awakening 1:55pm on 11 Feb 2009 Is the growlight an eco- friendly sunlight copying bulb? If I shine one on my seedlings will that help them? My only growing space is north facing on my living room floor and my seedlings always go leggy.
Outgrowing my garden 1:32pm on 09 Feb 2009 Known exactly how you feel about outgrowing your garden. Luckily I got my allotment 18months ago (after being on the waiting list for three years) just at the point my frustration was becoing unbearable. Since then it has had all my love and the garden has been neglected. Must try and get a better balance this year.

Don't let the waiting lists put anyone off trying for an allotment - it doesn't take any effort to be on the waiting list and it's a fantastic moment when they finally call.
