CO2 is not a poison. CO2 at levels we encounter is keeping us and all vegetation alive!

Our [all mankind's] total CO2 contribution is about 3.8%. A hairs thickness in a kilometer high planetary blanket of atmosphere.

Ethical Man is to be renamed Pathetical Man IMHO.

The Scam of the Century is being played out in No Hopenhagen. Don't be a Lemming Justin!

If you want to do something useful, do an article on how wasteful and unproductive and expensive Wind Power generation is and always will be. Blots on every landscape on which they appear. Taxpayers money down the drain from day 1. So much for renewables.

Climate visions: a widening divide? 06:55am on 07 Dec 2009 Imagine 90 litres of rice grains - that is about 1,000,000 of the little rascals. Now gather up 385 and from that less than a handful, count out 4. That is how much CO2 mankind puts into the atmosphere - approximately.

Now take one cute little rice grain and try and cut off about 1.6% by volume, all the while looking back at the 90 litres of the original ~ 1,000,000.

That is the total contribution by the UK population and associated industries, Aviation/Shipping/Powewr Generation/Cars/Trucks/Trains/Humans. Are we really supposed to pay huge sums of money in taxes to assuage the misguided Green Religion that is Global Warming? Accurate Science does not play a part.

Where are the sea levels rising as per computer models? Why are the Maldives building new hotels if they expect to be inundated? Arctic/Antarctic Ice levels? The list of smoke and mirror situations is endless.

NoHopenHagen is a total waste of time and money. Unless you are a politician [lower case]

Copenhagen Countdown: 2 days 09:36am on 05 Dec 2009 So Gordon Brown proves he can't see the wood for the trees - big deal, he really is a lightweight when it comes to anything serious.

ClimateGate is serious because it shows a level of deviousness in the scientific community that takes ones breath away.

That so many academics can be tainted by so few shows why you had 700 comments that you and the BBC found uncomfortable to swallow.

Copenhagen should be called NoHopenhagen.

CO2 emissions are not what should be debated. The truth about manipulation of scientific data to suit a political end which involves huge sums of taxpayers money and the scam of energy renewables is what I want to see on the table.
Fat chance with the "The Science is settled" brigade. History will show, as in the past with Tulip Trading/Witches/Faeries/Fool's Gold etc., that Man made Global Warming is simply not a reality.

Is Cumbria a victim of climate change? 08:16am on 03 Dec 2009 Since the age of the computer a large proportion of our population have been hoodwinked into thinking computer predictions must be right because computers can do big sums very quickly and get them right, Right!....... wrong actually.

Only if the inputs are not garbage and sadly all the atmospheric models to date are but a scratch on the surface of a very thick layer of possibilities/probabilities and as yet have not predicted anything correctly in terms of Global Warming being man made. So the term "Garbage in = Garbage out" is much closer to reality than the apparent predictions of temperature rises of anything from 2 to 6 even 10 degrees by the year 2050. How they can know that if we reduce carbon emissions by 30% by 2019 then the rise will only be 2.1ºC and yet the same computers can't even tell what the weather will be like in 6 days time with any accuracy.
The UK Met Office has failed miserably in predicting year ahead weather forecasts and so now they couch their predictions by making observations that draw sarcastic comments from thousands of bloggers.

Take this one from "thruppennybit" last April. About the Met Office predictions.

So let me get this right. Rainfall will be:

below average
maybe above average.

Really going out on a limb there, aren't they."

Remember CO2 makes plants/trees grow, is not a pollutant and is essential for life as we know it.

OK But first let the Government stop throwing away our money on subsidising Wind Farms [incredibly inefficient, need full time back up from regular power stations, cost per unit out of all proportion to amount that is sent to National Grid. so utter waste of Our monies!] and other so called 'Renewables' which are a sop to the Green Warming alarmists.

Please explain why Carbon Emissions are so alarming. This planet has survived much higher levels of CO2 than we have now and as we only contribute 3% to the total, whatever we do will be swamped by Mother Nature's massive 97%. Ethically speaking of course!

Anyone with a few brain cells knows that politicians [all lower capitals] are obsessed with having Power over the masses. Global Warming/Climate Change [notwithstanding scant evidence of its reality!] and the Media's desperation for "Breaking News" has led to yet another version of the previously debunked Tulip Trading/Fool's Gold/South Sea Bubble/Witchcraft/Dragons/Alchemy..... Anthropogenic Global Claptrap is just repetition of mass hysteria.

My tasty vine tomatoes are grown in CO2 levels way above the present average of around 385 ppm. People happily work in the same atmosphere and if past levels [many times todays] produced both hot and cold Earth environments then why are we having more meaningless "Summits" like Copenhagen where the Gordon Browns of this world will pretend to be concerned about "Tipping Points" and other such inanities when what should happen is to scrap the IPCC [bunch of incompetents - from the top down], stop all taxpayers money being thrown away on 'Renewables', use our fossil fuels more efficiently and build as many nuclear power stations as a reliable source of low pollution electrical power. Follow France and cut down on sourcing power generation materials from unreliable overseas countries. Of course money is needed to fund future power generation sources but we must avoid the previous hysteria led, taxpayer susidised, utterly unreliable, inefficient Wind Farm power generation as a classic example of the blind leading the blind.

"In the country of the blind, the one eyed man is King. That King should be accurate scientific data available to all scientists to use/dispute/disprove/agree and not to where we are at present with a cadre of manipulators of scientific data to prove their grant gobbling aims.

If the UK Government [sorry government] were to scrap the majority of its very expensive quangos, around 70 Billion Pounds Sterling and 700,000 civil servants would be freed!
And that is Taxpayers money!
China completes the climate circle 1:10pm on 26 Nov 2009 By all means cut down on pollution but to try and influence the world's climate by reducing man made Carbon Dioxide is an utter waste of time and particularly - money. The recent disclosures about temperature 'massaging' by the CRU @ the UEA shows how futile the politicians words are when talking about "Saving the Planet"

Scrap the Copenhagen talks as they are meaningless. Merely Kyoto repetition with nothing to benefit mankind. Scrap any Carbon Offset Trading as that is a Scam and stop any energy production that uses wind, waves and sun and spend the money on Nuclear Power.
Hacked climate e-mails and FOI 07:09am on 26 Nov 2009 Sea levels rising? Where? What will sink the UEA/CRU unit? All we want is the facts. Not the tired old computer manipulated, hockey stick readjusted, grant implemented, AGW biased lies. Now is the time for geeks to ferret out all the data that will hopefully see the academic obfuscators made to pay dearly for their shameful scientific climate change hegemony.

Time for the Nobel Foundation to bite the bullet and remove some of their recent "Planet Saving" incumbents from their positions as prizewinners. Money returned too!
