Going, going... 9:46pm on 15 Oct 2009 As posted inanother blog, MPs have no ides how the rest of us live. We have had retrospective legislation on huge issues... my penion is rubbish because the present government changed the rules twice so I am not covered for the years I was bringing up my children.
The cleaning and gardening bills are inconsequential in comparrison to the amount salted away by 'flipping ', a great way to make money, we pay their mortgage, maintain the property, and then they flip and sell on pocketing hundreds of thousands in profit. Fantastic. Thats what makes me angry. It is a total b...sup that this has not been clocked. Glegg is the only one aksin that it be redressed.

What about the 'flippers' who have had their mortgages paid by us and profited to the tune of hundreds of thousends and there has so far been no mention of how that is to be redressed. The cleaning and gardening bills are small potatoes when you look at how much MPs have lined their pockets by buying property and flipping a lot of times in one of the fastest property asset growth periods. I don't care what the rules say, it is immoral, and nobody, except Clegg, wants to mention it and nail those involved. These people are dispicable.

MPs still just do not get it, playing the system is just that, playing the system, not very honourable is it? They knew that it was not honest and therefore should not have done it. I realy do not understand how they had difficulty in deciding just to pocket it.
The Obama and Gordon card 09:40am on 25 Sep 2009 Brown is near his exit point and Obama needs to look to the future. Brown has also continually blamed the US for the crisis so that has not earned him any 'brownie' points.
Brown has not accepted any respobsibility for any mistakes throughout his time in Downing street, he has presided over an accounting system that would make Enrons books look good. The debt declared right now does not include all the PFI etc, so truely we have no idea what we really owe.
This government have cosied up to the bankers, the flash businessmen and all have lined their pockets at our expense. I wouldn't even pause in the kitchen if I had the opportunity.
I have never felt so politically disengaged. MPs of all parties have behaved appallingly over the expenses and they are still feathering their own nests. They had numerous opportunities over the years to address it and to state that the system is wrong and then to vote in a new speaker with any ego who says he won't wear the gown etc because it is not him displays it all.It is not about them, they are there by our gift and are very poor value. So after that rant, Who cares if Gordon got snubbed, he hasn't served any of us and he is still helping himself.
Gordon Brown's monuments 09:18am on 25 Sep 2009 So, the person who has been his personal banker and advised him to keep PFI details etc off the books so we have no idea of our true debt, and advised him througn one of the biggest boom/bust situations is going on to G20 to ensure his legacy.......right. Couldn't believe you think/wrote that Robert!

Robert,I am amazed that you do not have a stronger stomach. Mandy voluntarily left his highly paid job in Europe, of his choice and was being paid for both jobs for quite a while. Do you feel better now?
MPs have spent a lot of time and money actively preventing us from finding out what they are paying themselves, their employees, etc. Now that I find totally nauseating. They are there by our gift and fail to remember that. The media fails to do their job in bringing them to book. That I also find nauseating.

How Rover executives pocketed £42m 5:53pm on 11 Sep 2009 Well you fell for it, again. I am not saying the Phoenix 4 were blameless, but try putting a decent blog together giving the total story. You might look at the government ineptitude in yet aother fiasco. Mandy once had a loan and a property purchase that was not exactly straight. Mandy is hardly the one to lecture anyone.

Brown and his party has taken this country to the brink of destruction in everyway. We will have to pay, and the W is just around the corner. Look at the record of this government

Created laws to inhibit our freedom
spent us into oblivion
sold our gold..having told everyone he was going to do it!

The media have given Labour an easy ride, have not done their job, even now when the whole word knows how incompetent Labour have been, you still can not ask the tough questions of Labour. You have done us all a great dis-service by not challenging them, even now.

#26 and 35 are living in the real world, that is what it is about, surviving on what is left. Labour have presided over the most corrupt parliment and MPs, think tanks, qangos are all out of touch with the real population. They have elected a new speaker that has an ego so big he has forgotten that the role is what it is about not him, (refusing to wear the gown 'because it's not him', it is not about him) and this is the man who was going to bring openess and clean it up?

I hope who ever gets in can try and see what we need, honesty, openess, reality, and good housekeeping. They are after all there by our gift, we need to remind them of that.
