Badgers - no cull? 12:57pm on 07 Jul 2008 40,000 cattle a year will be slaughtered because of TB, the same next year and the same the year after. If Badgers were culled now, in two years time it's plausible no animals would need to be killed because of TB. It needs a hard line to solve it and unfortunately this governmnet like all Labour governments try to cuddle up to both sides without ever actually getting anything done for the benefit of either.

Grim decisions 4:19pm on 03 Jul 2008 More to the point, considering this atrocity had just happened why an earth did the camera man not put down his equipment and help the seriously injured people? I get fed up of watching reports of people injured and dying yet there is a perfectly able bodied person behind the camera who chooses not to help them....I would hope the BBC are an organisation that would encourage their journalists/camera men to help first and then worry about the slice of cake once they have done all they can in the act of humanity.......

Map of the week: Public spending in the UK 4:44pm on 01 Jul 2008 Draw a line from the Severn estuary to the Humber Estuary and you can see the Northy/South divide isn't fictional. Would be interesting to super-impose the colours of the political parties, in power in each contiency on it too! Could you do that BBC?
