The 1st reason all the other international teams stayed away from Stanford is because they weren't managed/run by greedy slimeballs.

The 2nd reason is because they were mostly sensible enough to agree to take a deal from the Indians, and the English, because of a mistaken "Empire" culture felt themselves unable to do this.

Both reasons come down to the fact that Giles Clarke has made monumental management errors, and should have had the balls to admit it and resign. The fact that he's just been re-elected shows that the whole of English cricket is managed poorly, not just the ECB, but most of the counties, too.

Very very sad, and it makes you wonder what will happen in the future when the money rus short.

What matters are the internationals, and you know it.

KP clearly won't come out and say "well, we were rubbish, and we'll most likely be just as bad on Friday" could he.

He's clearly not happy with the performance, but he's never going to admit it to the press.

With Shah and Broad back for Friday, they'll be better equipped, but the lack of runs is a bit of a concern, i'll admit.

We all know that KP will perform in the big games, its just a matter of whether Bell is suited to opening (I don't believe he is) and I don't think Prior is good enough, so that leaves a big hole at the top of the order.

Collingwood will grind out scores, and Flintoff will hopefully come good, but I do worry about our tendency to have to rescue a "decent" score, where it should be possible to get 300-320 on flat pitches.

Your contact undermining of some players, and trumpeting of others (Vaughan and Strauss the former, and Jimmy Anderson the latter) is illogical, ill informed, and irritating in the extreme.

When are the BBC going to grasp the nettle, and realise that you're a poor quality journalist, and replace you with someone decent?
