Should Lloyds pay a bonus? 4:05pm on 06 Feb 2009 Many business people who have sat across the table from a funding bank or venture capital player will no doubt have experienced the accusations of shamefulness and outrage that have greeted any management team expecting a pay rise or bonus in the midst of sub-target performance. The fact the banks are not just ignoring the taxpayers but now being so hypocritical would not be credible but for its actually happening.
Banks' rescue plan: Good or bad idea? 09:35am on 08 Oct 2008 This is starting to make Black Wednesday look merely slighly off white... To be topped off, no doubt, by Brown blaming global forces for this unexpected "return to boom and bust" despite taking the credit for all the boom times.
