Is Amy porn? 1:45pm on 03 Jul 2008 I don't particularly hold the BBC responsible for 'pornographic' coverage of Amy Winehouse, but it is certainly out of hand. I honestly can't see any justification for it - the fact that the public are interested doesn't make it public interest.

As for the Gordon Brown v Amy Winehouse decision - boring though he may be, Brown has to take priority
The BBC and the UK. 5:54pm on 11 Jun 2008 Why can't we - the English - have our own channels? Personally, I would rather have more European news than any more from the home nations.

I suspect that, apart from the Mid-Lothian question and the Barnett formula, what happens across the borders in Scotland, NI and Wales is of little interest down here.

If we can't have total devolution of programming, it surely can't be that difficult to have national news programming in radio 4 broadcasts?
Cannes, le Mépris 12:28pm on 16 May 2008 From my own experience I understand that no matter how glamourous the event, having to work makes it a pain.

Having said that, it's miserable here and we are talking about Cannes... Nope I've lost all sympathy for you.
