I agree whole heartedly with what you said. Party politics are far from perfect but they are better than any alternative, e.g., a one party state like that in China or the 'independents' you mentioned.

I have met many politicians, from all the main parties, and I can honestly say that most of them are decent people who want the best for their constituents. Why is it we only read that about them after they die?
What a difference a day makes 8:33pm on 26 Jun 2008 Is it just a coincidence that the committee made their decision after Parliament went into recess, meaning this will drag on for several more months?

Does every MSP now have to have a specialist law degree in this area, as written, unambiguous, guidance from the clerks doesn’t seem to be worth much?

To those MSPs who voted for the sanction – the chickens will come home to roast.
