Have you heard a cuckoo? 10:23pm on 28 May 2009 We heard our first cuckoo mid April on the Isle of Mull - we have been very lucky in that the cuckoo would fly down and land on a post in front of our sea eagle viewing hide - so lots of people caught sight of a cuckoo - often heard but rarely seen. it explains about the tags - they use a special webbing which eventually weathers away - these birds are huge - the chances of them catching on a branch is very slim - when they sit in a tree tends to be a fir and quite high up so branches arent usually an issue Hope are reassured
Four seasons... and plenty to do! 10:46pm on 04 Nov 2008 It was lovely to see our sea eagle chicks on Mull on Autumnwatch - the white tailed sea eagle is a magnificent bird and certainly take your breath away when you come across one soaring high! Great stuff
