How can printing money to fund government borrowing in the middle of a debt crisis, when our government has huge amounts of government debt outstanding - and still wants to splurge huge amounts on public expenditure - be a positive thing?

On the contrary, it merely shows the inadequacy of a large portion of our population.

One wonders why the BBC cannot employ journalists who might examine, for instance, the disastrous state of the public finances, as evidenced by the refusal of the National Audit Office to sign off government departments' accounts?

I mean: we pay for this "service", and all we get is patently partisan pieces of personality journalism from the BBC's Political Editor.

It is a disgrace.
