Answer the question. The aussie attack wasnt looking like taking 20 wickets-did they persist with it as it was or bring in a new bowler? Answer the question. The aussies were 1-0 down, heading for defeat and a handing over of the urn and now theyre 1-1 and odds-on to keep it. Did changing their side work for them or not? Answer the question.

Absolute total and utter garbage. Beckham was the one member of the "golden generation" who most certainly NEVER proved he was remotely in the ball park of being "world class". While the likes of Owen at least turned up against the major nations on the major occassions and the likes of Rooney truly impacted big tournaments, Beckham was the kid you could rely on to get smaller and smaller the bigger the opponent and the bigger the occassion got. Some of the delusions on here from the Beckham plastic set are extraordinary and im sure itll never cease but football history will record this player as being simply nowhere near the level some try and fraudulently claim for him on the back of his fame and celebrity. Football doesnt work like that and it never will, thank God.

I used to be amused by the fact that the Beckham lobby would come in force whenever someone had the temerity to suggest their man wasn't quite the sporting colossus that his PR would have us believe, but now I'm just tired of it. I'm tired of reflections on a headless chicken performance in a drawn game against Greece some time in the last century; of dwelling on a free-kick here; a corner there; of publicity and wealth creation as a measure of greatness; of tabloid redemption and soap opera. Those of us who understand football and who have actually seen great footballers will always regard the man and his admirers with barely disguised contempt.

Let's celebrate Moore and Beckham 5:04pm on 12 Feb 2009 Tomas_w, dont fall for even that greece match which grows like a chinese whisper. 20 minutes of child-lke scampering because england were impotent because players including BECKHAM once again hadnt provided any sort of decent service whatsoever does not a "great" performance make. He scores 1 free-kick from 7 attempts on his home ground in a qualifier for 4 tournaments back and thats his biggest claim for "great" status. It would be funny if it wasnt so embarassing. Infact, its probably both.
Let's celebrate Moore and Beckham 4:46pm on 12 Feb 2009 No-one BUT Beckhams "critics" got proved right throughout his vacuous career with england. Even in 2002 when the pointlessly overhyped Beckhams foot was being "prayed over", those of us who knew what a stupidly limited and irrelevant figure this was to ultimate ambitions were shouted down in a haze of pop-star celebrity worship. Even more so when Beckham "struck home" the penalty v argentina. For us, the manner of the penalty showed that Beckham was indeed a fraud whod got lucky with a toe-poke but you can imangine the sheer derision when that was pointed out to the braindead masses of Beckham-worshippers. And so to euro2004, indeed even before it. Away in Turkey, this techniquely inept figure we were now lumbered with as a penalty taker balloons it over the bar in what was nearly so costly but he got away with it. Then to the event itself,Beckhams peak one at 29. Its safe to say there hasnt been a more farcical and inept tournament display from a so-called "superstar" in football history. Totaly gutless in front of goal, turned to jelly each time he was faced with moments of pressure. Now we are expected to compare this utter fraud who never ONCE proved himself "world class" over 108 games against the sublime Moore? Whats next, a comparison between Robbie Williams- the "beckham" of music-and wofgang Amadeys Mozart? This is propostrous in the extreme.
