What an insult... Ms Nagler

This is customer service at the BBC best!

Then again we should be used to such contempt from the BBC - we only have to look at the mess you have made of the DAB Radio quality (compressing the quality to squeeze more channels) to see what was come with the TV signal.

This reduction in quality smells of the 1985 Coca-Cola change of recipe fiasco, why change something that does not need fixing? In the eye of the consumer we had a superior product which we were, on the whole, happy with; so why change it? Is this a way of reducing BBC HD quality to help squeeze it on newly created capacity on Freeview ahead of the digital switch over?

Now I'm not a technical person but, thankfully, I do have good vision and I along with many others can see that the picture quality is not what we have come to expect from the BBC HD channel. We can also see it is far poorer than offerings from other broadcasters.

Please don't insult us the consumers the one's who can see a change in product. At the end of the day the BBC is here to serve us the one's who provide the BBC with over £3BN of income. So lets see the quality back up to the standard that we have come to expect, the quality that other broadcasters provide, rather than the current substandard offering.

A final point please don't insult is as consumers if an company as big as Coca-Cola can admit they have made a mistake so can the BBC.

Open Post 2009-24-04 3:40pm on 03 May 2009 Why, when using Sky, can I not tune in to BBC London on channel 0152 when I'm in Liverpool. If I was in London I can tune in to the station using 0152. Where's the logic in blocking the channel to the rest of the country?

I know the feed is there and I can add the channel via "add channels" - but this makes it really fiddly to tune in. At the end of the day we all pay for the BBC via the license fee and the epg position is paid for. If BBC radio Wales is broadcast across the UK on 0154 then the same should be said for Radio London.

BBC News and disabled audiences 7:05pm on 19 Feb 2009 Broadcasters have let the disabled down when moving onto digital TV. I can fully understand the plight of the deaf who undoubtedly benefit by a sign language translator appearing to the right of our screens but why must the majority who aren't hard of hearing have this distraction. If I want subtitles, I call up that option - it isn't permanently on the screen. How come a sign language expert can't similarly be hidden until called up? If this can be done with Audio Description for the Blind why not the signer for the deaf?

Come on BBC be the first PSB to bring this in to fruition!
New News 4:33pm on 22 Apr 2008 Like the the new sharper, edgier look of the set and on screen graphics but the grey colour tones are very depressing!
