Irrelevance? Are you sure? It can't be so irrelevant if you took the time to mantion it. You didn't even have to state the context; the names in a twitter blog are enough to tell the story. How is that for relevance?

Oh, I get it. It's the obligatory British cynicism. I forgot to raise my guard before I stepped in.
A familiar divide 12:32pm on 01 Apr 2009 Nick, I have a lot of respect for your ability to frame all the current news into one or two questions. You have certainly earned the right to ask the first question at these kinds of pressers.

But after watching the entire press conferece live, I am disappointed that BBC World chose to quote half a sentence from the presidents reply. If you can't quote at least the whole reply in context it's better not to quote at all and just paraphrase. Anyone can imply whatever meaning they want from half a sentence. BBC World can definitely do better than that if they just try.

And, by the way, this president is the least likely to want to have his ego inflated. It is just not in his nature.

The BBC needs to be careful that, in trying to define the world as they see it, they don't simply risk defining themselves.
How-to-save-the-world club 9:06pm on 21 Feb 2009 There is a big difference between the green house gases that were added during the industrial revolution of yestryear and those of today and the future.

First, there is a certain volume that can be tolerated by the system. If there was no more green house gas emission into the atmosphere starting today, it is more than likely that whatever exess volume has been accumulated so far would not be a threat in the future.

Second, the rate of change in the volume of green house gases in the atmosphere is important. There is a natural system of carbon storage in plant and animal fiber that can accomodate the gases as long as the system is not overwhelmed by a high rate of change in the volume. The industrial revolution pales in comparison to the rapid development of the Indian and Chinese economies over the last thirty years when measured by the rate of change in green house gases.

So assigning blame for climate change is not as simple as you make it sound in that last paragraph.

That's intellectually dishonest while it is factually true.

Britain took back former UK residents who were caught in Afghanistan and Pakistan where they were suspected of fighting agains the US and, incidently, against the UK. In their case, Britain is legally obligated to take them back (as has Australia).

The remaining non-EU residents are the problem.
Zune adds TV shows: Excited? 3:52pm on 06 May 2008 Quote "The thing is: With Zune availability limited to the US, does any one really care?"

By "any one" do you must mean any one outside the US?

And with the size of the TV market in the US, do you really think Zune cares about any one else?
