MotoGP 2009 on the BBC 11:45am on 03 Feb 2009 I'm sorry the beeb hasn't changed the commentary team,for me the weakest part of BBC's coverage was this area.Eurosport's
Toby Moody and Julian Ryder was simply the best,like having the great days of Murray back again.Randy Mamola's imput will be really missed because Suzy Perry just hasn't got that experience as a champion and the inside knowledge that Randy has.
I personally don't like exclusive deals,and BBC have only jumped on the bandwagon in more recent times,whatever BBC say,Eurosports coverage was vastly superior to anything others have don't, I suppose being a specialist sports channel they could cover the whole of qualifying,practise and race day.I still feel we will lose out to F1 on race days,sad really because simply F1 ist tedious to put it mildly.
Beware a wounded Australia 10:23am on 11 Nov 2008 Wounded Australia is seriously bad news for England and an upcoming Ashes tour.We're pretty aweful,just look at todays humiliation on the one dayer in India.We're lacking a captain with any sort of vision,an inconsistent batting line up,bowling lacking real firepower.Add that up with a struggling Aussie team and it spells a total hammering for England in the Ashes. Now is the time to get Robert Key in as captain,to leave KP to try and do what he does best and bat,we could end up with an Ashes whitewash because I'm sure theres players back in Oz desperate to get in and even more rip England apart in an ashes series over here next Summer.A beaten Aussie team is even more worrying than a winning one because they will be after blood and it could well be Englasds.Ponting is a great captain,which currently we don't have and will more than likely prove it again next summer,and it could be a long one.Mind you it could rain enough to salvage a draw but unlikely enough to save the Ashes for us.
Beckham to appear at closing ceremony on top of a London bus 08:46am on 15 Aug 2008 This is nothing short of a total insult to every great British Olympian.What has David Beckham ever done for the British Olympic effort? He's an over rated never truly great player who tries to get into everything else for one reason only and thats personal promotion.Surely our great Olympic athletes such as Steve Redgrave,Daley Thompson or Sally Gunnell should have been chosen.
