Microsoft: There's a buzz about Bing 5:25pm on 31 Jul 2009 The reason there are pre-orders for Windows 7 is because it basically doubles in price when it goes on sale! With XP users having to clean install (losing two decades of data), I don't see myself upgrading soon. But, anecdotes aren't data I suppose. I've got no objection to them doing a good job. Just haven't seen any evidence other than a lot of self-congratulatory back-slapping so far.
Can O2 cope with smartphone traffic? 3:38pm on 07 Jul 2009 That's a bit of a swine. I was hoping for some healthy competition so they'd have to up their service. I find 3G drops out all over the place. London is much worse than Ireland, I presume because of higher contention for their limited service.

Inauguration - were you new or old media? 3:15pm on 21 Jan 2009 Good old television for me. It was nice to just enjoy it and let the announcers ferret out bits of information to spice up the slow moments. Instead of sitting there with Twitter, Wikipedia, streaming video etc. in fifty different windows!

Mobiles - are you a toucher or a typist? 3:50pm on 23 Sep 2008 I use two-thumbs touch and much prefer it to fiddling with tiny keys. Nothing makes you feel over the hill like having to squint down at your mobile.
