Kept a few of us busy over Euro tourny and hopefully can be repeated over the season.

If the player had had the referee's permission to leave the field for treatment then he would have been deemed inactive and the goal would have been ruled offside.

B:Unsporting play, risking a yellow
C:Manager shouldn't enter the field of play, comments he has made are a red herring
D:Cannot substitute his GK without the ref's permission and if the ref sends him off then the sub GK must come on for somebody else
E:Captain is definately risking a yellow now for unsportsmanship. You would probably have already sent off the manager however and disregarded his comments before the captain says to do so.
You Are The Ref answer and suggestions 10:35pm on 22 Jun 2008 Stop your arguing :) Goal would still stand as long as the pass to Lehman wasn't a throw, if it was then it would be a goal kick as in both your situations he didn't touch it.

Re 105, that too would be a goal, seen Dion Dublin score a similar effort against Shay Given

I don't think the sine die ban exists anymore but the resulting ban would be hefty.

It's a wonder more don't do it...

You Are The Ref #8 2:02pm on 19 Jun 2008 EntertainatallCosts, its because once the goalie releases the ball from under control by his hands it needs to leave and renter the area before he can use his hands to control the ball again.

You Are The Ref #8 12:12pm on 19 Jun 2008 The ref can revoke a card as long as the game hasn't been restarted and he makes it clear to all that he has done so.

Since after issueing a card he has to give permission to restart the game the opposition can't take a quick kick and ensre the card stands.
