And what excuse can you offer for the journalists who repeat dodgy research and discuss the distortion in all seriousness as though it were fact?
Tuesday 24 November 2009 - the plan so far 1:08pm on 24 Nov 2009 Its no surprise to learn that scientists exaggerate and mould their research findings in order to enhance their eligibility for research grants. Charities overstate and manipulate research in the same way to attract donations.
Thursday 19 November 2009 09:35am on 20 Nov 2009 I'm surprised that David Grossman is willing to admit in public to his ignorance about European politics. I presume he must confine his listening and viewing to the BBC in which case he probably shares its fixation with the US and Barak Obama. To those of us who don't share the BBC's obsession with American domestic politics there are luckily numerous outlets, based in countries with more respect for press freedom than the UK, to satisfy our wider interests - Der Speigel Online, Euronews, France 24 and Russia Today are my favourites.
Tuesday's programme will be busy 1:03pm on 10 Nov 2009 I would guess that all those men ringing in to defend Gordon Brown and attack The Sun are members of Charlie Whelan's UNITE union engaged on a smear campaign.

If you've got money to waste on unnecessary transatlantic jaunts then its clear your budget needs to be cut.
Friday 2 October 2009 10:24am on 05 Oct 2009 If you intend to raise the subject of the Lisbon Treaty again will you please also provide proof for your opinion that Conservative views on theTreaty are what interests the voting public more than anything else in the whole world.

And instead of saying A is for the Treaty and B is against the Treaty perhaps you might consider giving us a few examples of what you so like about the Treaty and what you think Conservatives don't like about it.
Or are you not allowed to discuss the content of the Treaty?

Yes it was. Michael Crick should have recognised that fact. Instead he tried to persuade us ( without success in my case) that Mandelson was the greatest orator in the history of public oratory who delivered a speech worthy of inclusion in the annals of great literature. Instead of persuading me that Mandelson is a great man worthy of praise Crick only succeeded in pursuading me that Crick himself is a cowardly lickspittle.
Monday 28 September 2009 09:38am on 29 Sep 2009 I was going to comment on the appropriateness of Crick's uncritical admiration for Mandelson's speech but I see that commenting on the content of Newsnight doesn't seem to be a high priority here.
