Wenger finds defeat hard to swallow 2:50pm on 03 Dec 2009 Okay so Wenger may have been disgusted by Hughes pitchside behaviour, i dont think theres many that werent.
BUT as my mother says "Rise above it" and "Dont sink to their level"

Wenger should have shaken his hand as much as it may have pained him. By not shaking his hand he has shown to everyone that Hughes behaviour got to him. This is not helped by the fact his "kids" looked woefully out of their depth.
Plenty of tippy tappy passing (65/35 possession in Arsenals favour backs this up) but so what? My 7 year olds could also do plenty of tippy tappy passing with no end product. How many shots on target was it? Thats right 1, just the one even though they had 65% possession.
Ferguson's kids are all right 1:03pm on 02 Dec 2009 Somebody posted that Gibson was going to be released. Utter nonsense. SAF rates the lad, a release was never on the cards.

As for the comments that Spurs dominated?!? Possession says 52/48 in Uniteds favour.

Anderson and Gibson totally dominated Jenas and Palacios/Huddlestone. I cant for one moment believe that Redknapp wsnt bothered about the comp. Thats why he didnt appear for the press at the finish.
How on earth can a maximum of 3 more matches distract from a push for 4th place when the comp will be done and dusted by the first week in March?

United were the better team without ever having to get out of 3rd gear, simple as that

No rush for Rodwell move 1:22pm on 20 Nov 2009 When Rooney left Everton he only went so early because Newcastle made an acceptable bid that forced Uniteds hand. SAF was quite happy to bide his time and watch Rooney grow at Everton.
If he hadnt moved for Rooney then he could conceivably have ended up at Newcastle!
The same will apply to Rodwell. He is a player that SAF admires but will be happy for him to keep developing under Moyesie BUT if someone comes in for the lad in January you can be sure SAF will make a move and given the choice i think Rodwell would prefer to stay in the north West
France, not Ferguson's successor, should be Blanc's future 11:28am on 17 Nov 2009 As a United fan i realise that SAF is one of the last of the "oldschool" of manager. When United recruit a replacement they will have to move with the times. Gone are the days a coach remains at a club for more than a decade.
Mourinho could work at OT but it would need compromise on both parties behalf.
Plus if anyone has noticed whenever Mourinho visits OT be it on a tactics mission or just for pleasure he sits in the directors box, he takes his seat about an hour before kick off and surveys the ground as if he owns it. He also enters OT via the Players/ Managers entrance.

I think United have a pretty decent youth set-up at the moment and there would be no need for Mourinho to get involved as long as he struck up a good working relationship with whoever is in charge. SAF is different because he likes to be involved in everything. The arrival of Mourinho wouldnt signal the end of Uniteds commitment to youth.

As for Blanc? Why the criticism because its "only" the French league? That it is irrelevant. Its about what he does as a coach. How he has improved players, the systems he uses etc etc. That is what United will be keeping an eye on

The Kindergarten Cup 2:42pm on 29 Oct 2009 Cannabis can actually enhance performance believe it or not because for some people it calms their nerves. Snooker players used to take beta blockers for the self same reason until they were outlawed.
HOWEVER i cant imagine how snorting/smoking crystal meth can enhance anything.
Some people have been saying its tarnished the trophies he won whilst under the influence! As he slumped from 2 in the world to 141 in 12 months id suggest he was winning naff all!

As for the Carling Cup, as a United fan it was great to see Obertan get 90 mins under his belt and more game time for Fabraph.
Nani must be worried because in the big games SAF reverts to using Giggs and when Nani does come on hes usually completely ineffectual. I for one hope Obertan starts against Blackburn.

And boringly, probably like most people i was impressed with Arsenals young 'uns. Merida, Ramsay and Gibbs stood out. If they "train on" as it were then Arsenal are looking very good indeed.
Benitez faces biggest test 12:56pm on 21 Oct 2009 Okay, firstly can all the liverpool fans on here defending Rafas transfer tactic honestly say they are happy with their squad and i mean HONESTLY?
United were without Vidic,Hargreaves and Rooney on Saturday, a similar 3 for Liverpool are Carra, Gerrard and Torres. United won, okay it was a struggle at the finish but Bolton should have been finished off long before then.
Liverpool last night struggled for long periods against a side that dropped its top scorer and for 45 minutes played with 2 central midfielders at centre back.
Rafa talks of an injury crisis. The only first choice players missing at the start were Torres and Johnson to be later joined by Gerrard.
United travel to Moscow shorn of Rooney,Hargo,Evra,Park and Giggs with Vidic struggling. That could be considered an injury crisis.

Having said all that, as an ardent United fan, i would not be at all surprised to see Liverpool win on Sunday with or without G and T.
They still wont win the league though. They dont have any problems getting thenselves up for the big games as last seasons match at Anfield proved its just that when they are shorn of either Gerrard or Torres (through in theabsent Alonso) they struggle against the socalled lesser sides and the problem for them is the fcat that Gerrard and Torres cannot play every PL and CL game and rescue them everytime.
Torres, Drogba or Rooney - who's the best? 6:52pm on 01 Oct 2009 Three very different players that give each of their teams something different.

Out of the three Torres and Drogba are most similar as they are all about goals in the main. If Torres doesnt score he doesnt contribute much else IMHO.
Whereas Rooney, as hes proved over the last 2 seasons gives you so much more than goals. He can walk off the pitch without scoring and still be man of the match by a distance.

I wouldnt swap Rooney for either of the other 2 but id take either of the other 2 in a heartbeat to play just off Wazza. For me as far as out and out strikers go Torres is the best in the world, fractionally in front of Villa and Benzema and he'll only get better.
Ferguson revels in classic win 1:34pm on 21 Sep 2009 The simple fact is that the time added on applies to both teams. In theory the extra time should have benefitted City. United were shellshocked after Bellamys equalizer and were there for the taking but City, at Hughes instruction looked to settle for a draw BUT Hughsie should know at OT United never settle for a draw.
WE didnt let our heads dropped and kept on pushing forward aided by some shocking City defending.

As for Bellamy? Words fail me. He was outstanding up front then ruins it by cuffing a fan who was being restrained by at least 2 stewards. How big and brave. Hope he gets nicked for assault for now and as for Hughes comparing it to the Cloughie incident years ago? Not even comparable.
