Top three face crucial tests 1:55pm on 09 Jan 2009 Mr Moe....Utd are not EFFECTIVELY 1 point behind Liverpool. They are 7 points behind with 2 games in hand. These are not 'points in the bag' but points yet to be won and it is that over confidence that annoys so many fans and will hopefully be Utd's undoing. 1-0 wins over Sunderland and Stoke should be a warning for your team.
English elite face Euro test 12:07pm on 11 Dec 2008 WOW! Seems like a few people on here has Platinitis...the anti English disease. Selective memories for most when you consider how much money was splashed by Spanish and Italian clubs when they dominated the tournament. Arsenal aside, the backbone of the English clubs is just that...English! Chelsea with Terry/Lampard; Liverpool with Carragher/Gerrard and Utd with Ferdinand/Carrick/Rooney. That's more than we can say for Inter. Real had 4 Spanish players against Sevilla and Barcelona's first choice team has 4 Spansih players (Victor Valdes, Puyol, Iniesta and Xavi). A lot of hypocracy going on from the English haters.
Final word...look to 'neutrals' around the world who they would rather watch. The Premiership is a global success and more popular than other European leagues.
Archery concerns need addressing 4:34pm on 04 Sep 2008 This is Archery for goodness sake! Practise makes better. If you didn't win, how on earth can it be the coaches fault. Clearly we weren't good enough and/or there were better archers there. I surprise myself that I care. It's bhardly the rousing blue ribband Olympic event that we crave every 4 years. Just sounds bitter to me....
The right move for Robinho? 11:12am on 02 Sep 2008 I think he is a great signing for City and could open the floodgates for more talent in the next 12 months. However, it isn't as simple as just having money. Chelsea were already a Champions League club (albeit in serious debt) when the Russian arrived. Tradition and history still plays a large part in players decisions to join clubs and breaking the top 4 'consortium' will be extremely difficult. Would Robinho have joined with more thinking time instead of the 6 hours he had? I doubt it. I think this is a case of leaving Madrid rather than joining City. But good luck to them. If any club deserves a taste of the big time, it's City.

Is Phelps really the greatest? 5:21pm on 13 Aug 2008 Greatness is directly related to moments in time; captured in the imagination of the public who saw them. You can win nothing and still be incorporated into great moments of Olympic history. The images of Jesse Owens in front of Hitler; Carl Lewis claiming his golds; Seb Coe defiantly retaining his 1500m title....it's totally subjective because it is summed up in a single snapshot/image when we think 'Olympics'. The question isn't about the 'best' but the 'greatest'.
